Aliyot — Lecturas de Torá y Haftará
Aliyot es el plural de Aliá, “subir”. En la lectura pública de la Torá, cada olé sube a la bimá y recita las bendiciones antes y después de la lectura. El Maftir concluye la sección de Torá y abre la lectura de la Haftará, tomada de los Profetas.
Aliyot — Torah and Haftarah Readings
Aliyot is the plural of Aliyah, “to ascend.” During public Torah reading, each person called to the bimah recites blessings before and after the reading. Maftir connects the Torah portion with the Haftarah from the Prophets.
