| 4:2 | וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י מָ֥ה אַתָּ֖ה רֹאֶ֑ה וָאֹמַ֡ר רָאִ֣יתִי ׀ וְהִנֵּ֣ה מְנוֹרַת֩ זָהָ֨ב כֻּלָּ֜הּ וְגֻלָּ֣הּ עַל־רֹאשָׁ֗הּ וְשִׁבְעָ֤ה נֵרֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ שִׁבְעָ֤ה וְשִׁבְעָה֙ מֽוּצָק֔וֹת לַנֵּר֖וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־רֹאשָֽׁהּ׃ | Vayomer elai: Mah atah ro’eh? Va’omar: Ra’iti, vehineh menorat zahav kulah, vegulah al-roshah, veshiv’ah neroteha aleiha, shiv’ah veshiv’ah mutzakot lanerot asher al-roshah. | He said to me: What do you see? I said: I see, and behold, a Menorah entirely of gold, with a bowl on its top, and its seven lamps upon it, with seven and seven pipes to the lamps that are on its top. |
| 4:3 | וּשְׁנַ֥יִם זֵיתִ֖ים עָלֶ֑יהָ אֶחָ֥ד מִימִ֖ין הַגֻּלָּ֥ה וְאֶחָ֖ד עַל־שְׂמֹאלָֽהּ׃ | Ushenayim zeitím aleiha, echad mimin hagulah ve’echad al-semolah. | And two olive trees were beside it, one on the right of the bowl and one on its left. |
| 4:4 | וָאַ֙עַן֙ וָאֹמַ֔ר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָ֥ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֖ר בִּ֣י לֵאמֹ֑ר מָה־אֵ֖לֶּה אֲדֹנִֽי׃ | Va’a’an va’omar el-hamal’ach hadober bi lemor: Mah-eleh adoni? | I answered and said to the angel who spoke with me: What are these, my lord? |
| 4:5 | וַיַּ֜עַן הַמַּלְאָ֤ךְ הַדֹּבֵר֙ בִּ֔י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י הֲל֥וֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ מָה־הֵ֣מָּה אֵ֑לֶּה וָאֹמַ֖ר לֹ֥א אֲדֹנִֽי׃ | Vaya’an hamal’ach hadober bi, vayomer elai: Halo yada’ta mah-hemah eleh? Va’omar: Lo adoni. | The angel who spoke with me answered and said to me: Do you not know what these are? And I said: No, my lord. |
| 4:6 | וַיַּ֜עַן וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר זֶ֚ה דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א בְחַ֙יִל֙ וְלֹ֣א בְכֹ֔חַ כִּ֣י אִם־בְּרוּחִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ | Vaya’an vayomer elai lemor: Zeh devar-Adonai el-Zerubavel lemor: Lo vechayil velo vechoach, ki im-beruchi, amar Adonai Tzevaot. | He answered and said to me: This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might and not by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts. |
| 4:7 | מִֽי־אַתָּ֧ה הַר־הַגָּד֛וֹל לִפְנֵ֥י זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לְמִישֹׁ֑ר וְהוֹצִיא֙ אֶת־הָאֶ֣בֶן הָרֹאשָׁ֔ה תְּשֻׁא֕וֹת חֵ֥ן חֵ֖ן לָֽהּ׃ | Mi-atah har-hagadol lifnei Zerubavel? Lemishor. Vehotzi et-ha’even haroshah, teshu’ot chen chen lah. | Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. He shall bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” |
