| And He shall deliver their kings into thy hand, and thou shalt make their name to perish from under heaven; there shall no man be able to stand against thee, until thou have destroyed them. |

| 9:10 | וַיִּתֵּן יְהוָה אֵלַי אֶת שְׁנֵי לוּחֹת הָאֲבָנִים כְּתֻבִים בְּאֶצְבַּע אֱלֹהִים וַעֲלֵיהֶם כְּכָל הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה עִמָּכֶם בָּהָר מִתּוֹךְ הָאֵשׁ בְּיוֹם הַקָּהָל | Vayiten Adonay elay et-shney lukhot ha'avanim ktuvim be'etsba Elohim va'aleyhem kekhol-hadvarim asher diber Adonay imakhem bahar mitokh ha'esh beyom hakahal. | And the LORD delivered unto me the two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words which the LORD spoke with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. |
| And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, the tables of the covenant. |
| And the LORD said unto me: 'Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people that thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have dealt corruptly; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.' |
| Furthermore the LORD spoke unto me, saying: 'I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people. |
| Let Me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.' |
| So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire; and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands. |
| And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God; ye had made you a molten calf; ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. |
| 9:17 | וָאֶתְפֹּשׂ בִּשְׁנֵי הַלֻּחֹת וָאַשְׁלִכֵם מֵעַל שְׁתֵּי יָדָי וָאֲשַׁבְּרֵם לְעֵינֵיכֶם | Va'etpos bishney halukhot va'ashlikhem me'al shtey yaday va'ashabrem le'eyneykhem. | And I took hold of the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes. |
| 9:18 | וָאֶתְנַפַּל לִפְנֵי יְהוָה כָּרִאשֹׁנָה אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לַיְלָה לֶחֶם לֹא אָכַלְתִּי וּמַיִם לֹא שָׁתִיתִי עַל כָּל חַטַּאתְכֶם אֲשֶׁר חֲטָאתֶם לַעֲשׂוֹת הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לְהַכְעִיסוֹ | Va'etnapal lifney Adonay karishonah arba'im yom ve'arba'im laylah lekhem lo akhalti umayim lo shatiti al kol-khatatkhem asher khatatem la'asot hara be'eyney Adonay lehakh'iso. | And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water; because of all your sin which ye sinned, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. |
| For I was in dread of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me that time also. |
| 9:20 | וּבְאַהֲרֹן הִתְאַנַּף יְהוָה מְאֹד לְהַשְׁמִידוֹ וָאֶתְפַּלֵּל גַּם בְּעַד אַהֲרֹן בָּעֵת הַהִוא | Uve'Aharon hit'anaf Adonay me'od lehashmido va'etpalel gam-be'ad Aharon ba'et hahi. | And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him; and I prayed for Aaron also the same time. |
| And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and beat it, grinding it very small, until it was as fine as dust; and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount. |
| At Taberah also, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, ye made the LORD wrathful. |

Mamrim heyitem im-Adonay miyom dati etkhem. | Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you. |

| But Zion said: 'The LORD hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.' |
| Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. |
| Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me. |
| Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee. |
| Isa 49:18 | שְׂאִי סָבִיב עֵינַיִךְ וּרְאִי כֻּלָּם נִקְבְּצוּ בָאוּ לָךְ חַי אָנִי נְאֻם יְהוָה כִּי כֻלָּם כָּעֲדִי תִלְבָּשִׁי וּתְקַשְּׁרִים כַּכַּלָּה | Se'i-saviv eynayikh ure'i kulam nikbetsu va'u-lakh khay-ani neum-Adonay ki kulam ka'adi tilbashi utekashrim kakalah. | Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride. |
| For, as for thy waste and thy desolate places, and thy land that hath been destroyed, surely now shalt thou be too strait for the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. |

| Then shalt thou say in thy heart: 'Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? and who hath brought up these? behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?' |
| Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and set up My ensign to the peoples; and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. |
| And kings shall be thy foster-fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD, for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me. |
| Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of the victor be delivered? |

| And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. |
| Thus saith the LORD: Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, wherewith I have put her away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were ye sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away. |
| Isa 50:2 | מַדּוּעַ בָּאתִי וְאֵין אִישׁ קָרָאתִי וְאֵין עוֹנֶה הֲקָצוֹר קָצְרָה יָדִי מִפְּדוּת וְאִם אֵין בִּי כֹחַ לְהַצִּיל הֵן בְּגַעֲרָתִי אַחֲרִיב יָם אָשִׂים נְהָרוֹת מִדְבָּר תִּבְאַשׁ דְּגָתָם מֵאֵין מַיִם וְתָמֹת בַּצָּמָא | Madua bati ve'eyn ish karati ve'eyn oneh hakatsor katsrah yadi mipedut ve'im-eyn-bi koakh lehatsil hen bega'arati akhariv yam asim neharot midbar tiv'ash degatam me'eyn mayim vetamot batsama. | Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst. |
| I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. |

| The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward. |

| For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore have I not been confounded; therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. |

| Isa 50:10 | מִי בָכֶם יְרֵא יְהוָה שֹׁמֵעַ בְּקוֹל עַבְדּוֹ אֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ חֲשֵׁכִים וְאֵין נֹגַהּ לוֹ יִבְטַח בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה וְיִשָּׁעֵן בֵּאלֹהָיו | Mi vakhem yere Adonay shomea bekol avedo asher halakh khashekim ve'eyn nogah lo yivtakh beshem Adonay veyisha'en be'Elohav. | Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of His servant? though he walk in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God. |
| Isa 50:11 | הֵן כֻּלְּכֶם קֹדְחֵי אֵשׁ מְאַזְּרֵי זִיקוֹת לְכוּ בְּאוּר אֶשְׁכֶם וּבְזִיקוֹת בִּעַרְתֶּם מִיָּדִי הָיְתָה זֹּאת לָכֶם לְמַעֲצֵבָה תִּשְׁכָּבוּן | Hen kulekhem kodekhey esh me'azrey zikot lekhu be'ur eshkhem uvezikot bi'artem miyadi hayetah-zot lakhem lema'atsevah tishkavun. | Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that gird yourselves about with firebrands: walk in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of My hand: ye shall lie down in sorrow. |
| Hearken to Me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye were digged. |
| Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many. |
| For the LORD hath comforted Zion; He hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. |
