Baruj atah Adonay, notein hatorah... — Blessed are You, O Eternal our God, King of the universe, who chose us from among all peoples and gave us Your Torah.

11:26רְאֵה אָנֹכִי נֹתֵן לִפְנֵיכֶם הַיּוֹם בְּרָכָה וּקְלָלָהRe'eh anokhi noten lifneykhem hayom berakhah uklalah.See, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:
11:27אֶת הַבְּרָכָה אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶל מִצְוֺת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם הַיּוֹםEt-haberakhah asher tishme'u el-mitsvot Adonay Eloheykhem asher anokhi metsaveh etkhem hayom.the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Eternal your God, which I command you today;
11:28וְהַקְּלָלָה אִם לֹא תִשְׁמְעוּ אֶל מִצְוֺת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְסַרְתֶּם מִן הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם הַיּוֹם לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יְדַעְתֶּםVehakelalah im-lo tishme'u el-mitsvot Adonay Eloheykhem vesartem min-haderekh asher anokhi metsaveh etkhem hayom lalekhet akharey elohim akherim asher lo-yedatem.and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Eternal your God, but turn aside from the way that I command you today, to follow other gods that you have not known.
11:29וְהָיָה כִּי יְבִיאֲךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶל הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה בָא שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּהּ וְנָתַתָּה אֶת הַבְּרָכָה עַל הַר גְּרִזִים וְאֶת הַקְּלָלָה עַל הַר עֵיבָלVehayah ki yevi'akha Adonay Eloheykha el-ha'arets asher atah vah-shamah lerishtah venatatah et-habrakhah al-har Gerizim ve'et-haklalah al-har Eyval.And it shall come to pass, when the Eternal your God brings you into the land where you are going to possess it, that you shall set the blessing upon Mount Gerizim, and the curse upon Mount Ebal.
11:30הֲלֹא הֵמָּה בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן אַחֲרֵי דֶּרֶךְ מְבוֹא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ בְּאֶרֶץ הַכְּנַעֲנִי הַיֹּשֵׁב בָּעֲרָבָה מוּל הַגִּלְגָּל אֵצֶל אֵלוֹנֵי מֹרֶהHalo-hemah be'ever haYarden akharey derekh mevo hashemesh be'erets haKna'ani hayoshev ba'Aravah mul haGilgal etsel eloney Moreh.Are they not beyond the Jordan, far off, toward the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanite who dwells in the plain, opposite Gilgal, beside the terebinths of Moreh?
11:31כִּי אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן לָבֹא לָרֶשֶׁת אֶת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶם וִירִשְׁתֶּם אֹתָהּ וִישַׁבְתֶּם בָּהּKi atem ovrim et-haYarden lavo lareshet et-ha'arets asher-Adonay Eloheykhem noten lakhem virishtem otah vishavtem-bah.For you are about to cross the Jordan to go in and possess the land that the Eternal your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell in it;
11:32וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם לַעֲשׂוֹת אֵת כָּל הַחֻקִּים וְאֶת הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי נֹתֵן לִפְנֵיכֶם הַיּוֹםUshmartem la'asot et kol-hachukim ve'et-hamishpatim asher anochi noten lifneykhem hayom.and you shall be careful to observe all the statutes and the judgments that I set before you today.
12:1אֵלֶּה הַחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְרוּן לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֶיךָ לְךָ לְרִשְׁתָּהּ כָּל הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם חַיִּים עַל הָאֲדָמָהEleh hakhukim vehamishpatim asher tishmerun la'asot ba'arets asher natan Adonay Elohey avoteykha lekha lerishtah kol-hayamim asher-atem khayim al-ha'adamah.These are the statutes and the judgments that you shall be careful to observe in the land that the Eternal, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, all the days that you live upon the earth.
12:2אַבֵּד תְּאַבְּדוּן אֶת כָּל הַמְּקֹמוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָבְדוּ שָׁם הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹרְשִׁים אֹתָם אֶת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם עַל הֶהָרִים הָרָמִים וְעַל הַגְּבָעוֹת וְתַחַת כָּל עֵץ רַעֲנָןAbed te'abdun et-kol-hamekomot asher avdu-sham hagoyim asher atem yorshim otam et-Eloheyhem al-heharim haramim ve'al-hageva'ot vetakhat kol-ets ra'anan.You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations that you are dispossessing served their gods, upon the high mountains and upon the hills and under every leafy tree.
12:3וְנִתַּצְתֶּם אֶת מִזְבּחֹתָם וְשִׁבַּרְתֶּם אֶת מַצֵּבֹתָם וַאֲשֵׁרֵיהֶם תִּשְׂרְפוּן בָּאֵשׁ וּפְסִילֵי אֱלֹהֵיהֶם תְּגַדֵּעוּן וְאִבַּדְתֶּם אֶת שְׁמָם מִן הַמָּקוֹם הַהוּאVenitatstem et-mizbekhotam veshibartem et-matsevotam va'ashereyhem tisrefun ba'esh ufsiley eloheykhem tegade'un ve'ibadetem et-shmam min-hamakom hahu.And you shall break down their altars, and shatter their pillars, and burn their sacred trees with fire, and hew down the carved images of their gods, and destroy their name out of that place.
12:4לֹא תַעֲשׂוּן כֵּן לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶםLo ta'asun ken l'Adonay Eloheykhem.You shall not act this way toward the Eternal your God,
12:5כִּי אִם אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מִכָּל שִׁבְטֵיכֶם לָשׂוּם אֶת שְׁמוֹ שָׁם לְשִׁכְנוֹ תִדְרְשׁוּ וּבָאתָ שָׁמָּהKi im-el-hamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykhem mikol-shivteykhem lasum et-shemo sham leshikhno tidreshu uvata shamah.but you shall seek the place that the Eternal your God will choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, for His dwelling; and there you shall come.
12:6וַהֲבֵאתֶם שָׁמָּה עֹלֹתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם וְאֵת מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם וְאֵת תְּרוּמַת יֶדְכֶם וְנִדְרֵיכֶם וְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶם וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקַרְכֶם וְצֹאנְכֶםVahavetem shamah oloteykhem vezivkheykhem ve'et masroteykhem ve'et trumat yedkhem venidreykhem venidvoteykhem uvekhorot bekarkhem vetsonkhem.And there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock;
12:7וַאֲכַלְתֶּם שָׁם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וּשְׂמַחְתֶּם בְּכֹל מִשְׁלַח יֶדְכֶם אַתֶּם וּבָתֵּיכֶם אֲשֶׁר בֵּרַכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָVa'akhaltem-sham lifney Adonay Eloheykhem usmakhtem bekhol mishlakh yedkhem atem uvateykhem asher berakhekha Adonay Eloheykha.and there you shall eat before the Eternal your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you put your hand to, in which the Eternal your God has blessed you.
12:8לֹא תַעֲשׂוּן כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ עֹשִׂים פֹּה הַיּוֹם אִישׁ כָּל הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיוLo ta'asun kekol asher anakhnu osim poh hayom ish kol-hayashar be'eynav.You shall not do as we are doing here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;
12:9כִּי לֹא בָּאתֶם עַד עָתָּה אֶל הַמְּנוּחָה וְאֶל הַנַּחֲלָה אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְKi lo-vatem ad-atah el-hamenukhah ve'el-hanakhalah asher Adonay Eloheykha noten lakh.for you have not yet come to the rest and the inheritance that the Eternal your God gives you.
12:10וַעֲבַרְתֶּם אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן וִישַׁבְתֶּם בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מַנְחִיל אֶתְכֶם וְהֵנִיחַ לָכֶם מִכָּל אֹיְבֵיכֶם מִסָּבִיב וִישַׁבְתֶּם בֶּטַחVa'avartem et-haYarden vishavtem ba'arets asher-Adonay Eloheykhem mankhil etkhem veheniakh lakhem mikol-oyveykhem misaviv vishavtem-betakh.But when you cross the Jordan and dwell in the land that the Eternal your God causes you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety;

12:11וְהָיָה הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם בּוֹ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם שָׁמָּה תָבִיאוּ אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם עוֹלֹתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם וּתְרֻמַת יֶדְכֶם וְכֹל מִבְחַר נִדְרֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר תִּדְּרוּ לַיהוָהVehayah hamakom asher-yivkhar Adonay Eloheykhem bo leshaken shmo sham shamah tavi'u et kol-asher anokhi metsaveh etkhem oloteykhem vezivkheykhem masroteykhem utrumat yedkhem vekhol mivkhar nidreykhem asher tidru l'Adonay.then it shall be, at the place that the Eternal your God will choose to make His name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the Eternal.
12:12וּשְׂמַחְתֶּם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אַתֶּם וּבְנֵיכֶם וּבְנֹתֵיכֶם וְעַבְדֵיכֶם וְאַמְהֹתֵיכֶם וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶם כִּי אֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק וְנַחֲלָה אִתְּכֶםUsmakhtem lifney Adonay Eloheykhem atem uvneykhem uvenoteykhem ve'avdeykhem ve'amhoteykhem vehaLevi asher besha'areykhem ki eyn lo khelek venakhalah itkhem.And you shall rejoice before the Eternal your God, you and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
12:13הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תַּעֲלֶה עֹלֹתֶיךָ בְּכָל מָקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּרְאֶהHishamer lekha pen-ta'aleh oloteykha bekol-makom asher tir'eh.Take heed to yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;
12:14כִּי אִם בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה בְּאַחַד שְׁבָטֶיךָ שָׁם תַּעֲלֶה עֹלֹתֶיךָ וְשָׁם תַּעֲשֶׂה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּךָּKi im-bamakom asher-yivchar Adonay be'akhad shvateykha sham ta'aleh oloteykha vesham ta'aseh kol asher anokhi metsaveka.but in the place that the Eternal will choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
12:15רַק בְּכָל אַוַּת נַפְשְׁךָ תִּזְבַּח וְאָכַלְתָּ בָשָׂר כְּבִרְכַּת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְךָ בְּכָל שְׁעָרֶיךָ הַטָּמֵא וְהַטָּהוֹר יֹאכְלֶנּוּ כַּצְּבִי וְכָאַיָּלRak bekol-avat nafshekha tizbakh ve'akhalta vasar kevirkat Adonay Eloheykha asher natan-lekha bekol-she'areykha hatame vehatahor yokhelenu katsvi vekha'ayal.Nevertheless you may slaughter and eat meat within all your gates, according to every desire of your soul, according to the blessing of the Eternal your God which He has given you; the unclean and the clean may eat it, as the gazelle and the deer.
12:16רַק הַדָּם לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּ כַּמָּיִםRak hadam lo tokhelu al-ha'arets tishpekhenu kamayim.Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it upon the earth like water.
12:17לֹא תוּכַל לֶאֱכֹל בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ מַעְשַׂר דְּגָנְךָ וְתִירֹשְׁךָ וְיִצְהָרֶךָ וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקָרְךָ וְצֹאנֶךָ וְכָל נְדָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּדֹּר וְנִדְבֹתֶיךָ וּתְרוּמַת יָדֶךָLo-tukhal le'ekol bish'areykha ma'asar deganekha vetiroshkha veyitsharekha uvekhorot bekarkha vetsonekha vekol-nedareykha asher tidor venidvoteykha utrumat yadekha.You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your wine or your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or flock, or any of your vows which you vow, or your freewill offerings, or the offering of your hand;
12:18כִּי אִם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל מִשְׁלַח יָדֶךָKi im-lifney Adonay Eloheykha tokhlenu bamakom asher yivekhar Adonay Eloheykha bo atah uvinkha uvitekha ve'avdekha va'amatekha vehaLevi asher bish'areykha vesamakhta lifney Adonay Eloheykha bekol mishlakh yadekha.but you shall eat them before the Eternal your God, in the place that the Eternal your God chooses, you and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the Eternal your God in all that you put your hand to.
12:19הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תַּעֲזֹב אֶת הַלֵּוִי כָּל יָמֶיךָ עַל אַדְמָתֶךָHishamer lekha pen-ta'azov et-haLevi kol-yameykha al-admatekha.Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
12:20כִּי יַרְחִיב יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת גְּבוּלְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לָךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ אֹכְלָה בָשָׂר כִּי תְאַוֶּה נַפְשְׁךָ לֶאֱכֹל בָּשָׂר בְּכָל אַוַּת נַפְשְׁךָ תֹּאכַל בָּשָׂרKi-yarkhiv Adonay Eloheykha et-gvulkha ka'asher diber-lakh ve'amarta okhlah vasar ki-te'aveh nafshekha le'ekol basar bekol-avat nafshekha tokhal basar.When the Eternal your God enlarges your border, as He has promised you, and you say, 'I will eat meat,' because your soul desires to eat meat, you may eat meat, whatever your soul desires.
12:21כִּי יִרְחַק מִמְּךָ הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָשׂוּם שְׁמוֹ שָׁם וְזָבַחְתָּ מִבְּקָרְךָ וּמִצֹּאנְךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יְהוָה לְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִךָ וְאָכַלְתָּ בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ בְּכֹל אַוַּת נַפְשֶׁךָKi-yirkhak mimekha hamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykha lasum shemo sham vezavakhta mibekarkha umitsonkha asher natan Adonay lekha ka'asher tsivitikha ve'akhalta bish'areykha bekol avat nafshekha.If the place that the Eternal your God chooses to put His name there is too far from you, then you may slaughter of your herd and of your flock which the Eternal has given you, just as I have commanded you, and you may eat within your gates whatever your soul desires.
12:22אַךְ כַּאֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל אֶת הַצְּבִי וְאֶת הָאַיָּל כֵּן תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ הַטָּמֵא וְהַטָּהוֹר יַחְדָּו יֹאכְלֶנּוּAkh ka'asher ye'akhel et-hatsvi ve'et-ha'ayal ken tokhlenu hatame vehatahor yakdav yokhlenu.Just as the gazelle and the deer are eaten, so you may eat them; the unclean and the clean alike may eat them.
12:23רַק חֲזַק לְבִלְתִּי אֲכֹל הַדָּם כִּי הַדָּם הוּא הַנָּפֶשׁ וְלֹא תֹאכַל הַנֶּפֶשׁ עִם הַבָּשָׂרRak khazak levilti akhol hadam ki hadam hu hanafesh velo-tokhal hanefesh im-habasar.Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you shall not eat the life with the flesh.
12:24לֹא תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּ כַּמָּיִםLo tokhelenu al-ha'arets tishpekhenu kamayim.You shall not eat it; you shall pour it upon the earth like water.
12:25לֹא תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ לְמַעַן יִיטַב לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ כִּי תַעֲשֶׂה הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָהLo tokhelenu lema'an yitav lekha ulevaneykha akhareykha ki-ta'aseh hayashar be'eyney Adonay.You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the eyes of the Eternal.
12:26רַק קָדָשֶׁיךָ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיוּ לְךָ וּנְדָרֶיךָ תִּשָּׂא וּבָאתָ אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָהRak kodasheykha asher-yihyu lekha unedareykha tisa uvata el-hamakom asher-yivkhar Adonay.Only the holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take and go to the place which the Eternal chooses.
12:27וְעָשִׂיתָ עֹלֹתֶיךָ הַבָּשָׂר וְהַדָּם עַל מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְדַם זְבָחֶיךָ יִשָּׁפֵךְ עַל מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַבָּשָׂר תֹּאכֵלVe'asita oloteykha habasar vehadam al-mizbakh Adonay Eloheykha vedam-zevakheykha yishafekh al-mizbakh Adonay Eloheykha vehabasar tokhel.And you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Eternal your God; and the blood of your other sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Eternal your God, and you shall eat the flesh.
12:28שְׁמֹר וְשָׁמַעְתָּ אֵת כָּל הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּךָּ לְמַעַן יִיטַב לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ עַד עוֹלָם כִּי תַעֲשֶׂה הַטּוֹב וְהַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָShmor veshamata et kol-hadevarim ha'eleh asher anokhi metsaveka lema'an yitav lekha ulevaneykha akhareykha ad-olam ki ta'aseh hatov vehayashar be'eyney Adonay Eloheykha.Observe and obey all these words that I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of the Eternal your God.

12:29כִּי יַכְרִית יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה בָא שָׁמָּה לָרֶשֶׁת אוֹתָם מִפָּנֶיךָ וְיָרַשְׁתָּ אֹתָם וְיָשַׁבְתָּ בְּאַרְצָםKi-yakhrit Adonay Eloheykha et-hagoyim asher atah va-shamah lareshet otam mipaneykha veyarashta otam veyashavta be'artsam.When the Eternal your God has cut off before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,
12:30הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תִּנָּקֵשׁ אַחֲרֵיהֶם אַחֲרֵי הִשָּׁמְדָם מִפָּנֶיךָ וּפֶן תִּדְרֹשׁ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם לֵאמֹר אֵיכָה יַעַבְדוּ הַגּוֹיִם הָאֵלֶּה אֶת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וְאֶעֱשֶׂה כֵּן גַּם אָנִיHishamer lekha pen-tinakesh akhareykhem akharey hishamdam mipaneykha ufen-tidrosh le-eloheykhem lemor eykhah ya'avdu hagoyim ha'eleh et-eloheykhem ve'e'eseh-ken gam-ani.take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.'
12:31לֹא תַעֲשֶׂה כֵן לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי כָּל תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵא עָשׂוּ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם כִּי גַם אֶת בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת בְּנֹתֵיהֶם יִשְׂרְפוּ בָאֵשׁ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶםLo-ta'aseh khen l'Adonay Eloheykha ki chol-toavat Adonay asher sane asu l'eloheykhem ki gam et-bneyhem ve'et-benoteykhem yisrefu va'esh l'eloheykhem.You shall not act this way toward the Eternal your God, for every abomination which the Eternal hates, they have done to their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
13:1אֵת כָּל הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם אֹתוֹ תִשְׁמְרוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת לֹא תֹסֵף עָלָיו וְלֹא תִגְרַע מִמֶּנּוּEt kol-hadavar asher anokhi metsaveh etkhem oto tishmeru la'asot lo-tosef alav velo tigra mimenu.Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
13:2כִּי יָקוּם בְּקִרְבְּךָ נָבִיא אוֹ חֹלֵם חֲלוֹם וְנָתַן אֵלֶיךָ אוֹת אוֹ מוֹפֵתKi-yakum bekirbekha navi o kolem khalom venatan eleykha ot o mofet.If there arises among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,
13:3וּבָא הָאוֹת וְהַמּוֹפֵת אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֵלֶיךָ לֵאמֹר נֵלְכָה אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יְדַעְתָּם וְנָעָבְדֵםUva ha'ot vehamofet asher-diber eleykha lemor nelekhah akharey elohim akherim asher lo-yedatam vena'ovdem.and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them,'
13:4לֹא תִשְׁמַע אֶל דִּבְרֵי הַנָּבִיא הַהוּא אוֹ אֶל חוֹלֵם הַחֲלוֹם הַהוּא כִּי מְנַסֶּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אֶתְכֶם לָדַעַת הֲיִשְׁכֶם אֹהֲבִים אֶת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם בְּכָל לְבַבְכֶם וּבְכָל נַפְשְׁכֶםLo tishma el-divrey hanavi hahu o el-kolem hakhalom hahu ki menaseh Adonay Eloheykhem etkhem lada'at hayishkhem ohavim et-Adonay Eloheykhem bekol-levavkhem uvekol-nafshekhem.you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, for the Eternal your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Eternal your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
13:5אַחֲרֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם תֵּלֵכוּ וְאֹתוֹ תִירָאוּ וְאֶת מִצְוֺתָיו תִּשְׁמֹרוּ וּבְקֹלוֹ תִשְׁמָעוּ וְאֹתוֹ תַעֲבֹדוּ וּבוֹ תִדְבָּקוּןAkharey Adonay Eloheykhem telekhu ve'oto tira'u ve'et-mitsvotav tishmoru uvekolo tishma'u ve'oto ta'avodu uvo tidbakun.You shall walk after the Eternal your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and serve Him, and cling to Him.
13:6וְהַנָּבִיא הַהוּא אוֹ חֹלֵם הַחֲלוֹם הַהוּא יוּמָת כִּי דִבֶּר סָרָה עַל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם הַמּוֹצִיא אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וְהַפֹּדְךָ מִבֵּית עֲבָדִים לְהַדִּיחֲךָ מִן הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר צִוְּךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָלֶכֶת בָּהּ וּבִעַרְתָּ הָרָע מִקִּרְבֶּךָVehanavi hahu o kolem hakhalom hahu yumat ki diber-sarah al-Adonay Eloheykhem hamotsi etkhem me'erets Mitsrayim vehapodekha mibeyt avadim lehadikhakha min-haderekh asher tsivekha Adonay Eloheykha lalekhet bah uvi'arta hara mikirbekha.And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken to turn you away from the Eternal your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to draw you away from the way in which the Eternal your God commanded you to walk. So shall you purge the evil from among you.
13:7כִּי יְסִיתְךָ אָחִיךָ בֶן אִמֶּךָ אוֹ בִנְךָ אוֹ בִתְּךָ אוֹ אֵשֶׁת חֵיקֶךָ אוֹ רֵעֲךָ אֲשֶׁר כְּנַפְשְׁךָ בַּסֵּתֶר לֵאמֹר נֵלְכָה וְנַעַבְדָה אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַעְתָּ אַתָּה וַאֲבֹתֶיךָKi yesitkha akhikha ven-imekha o-vinkha o-vitkha o eshet kheykekha o re'akha asher kenafshekha baseter lemor nelkhah vena'avdah elohim akherim asher lo yadata atah va'avoteykha.If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which you have not known, you nor your fathers,
13:8מֵאֱלֹהֵי הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֹתֵיכֶם הַקְּרֹבִים אֵלֶיךָ אוֹ הָרְחֹקִים מִמֶּךָּ מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ וְעַד קְצֵה הָאָרֶץMe'elohey ha'amim asher svivoteykhem hakrovim eleykha o harekhokim mimeka miktseh ha'arets ve'ad-ketseh ha'arets.of the gods of the peoples that are around you, near you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other,
13:9לֹא תֹאבֶה לוֹ וְלֹא תִשְׁמַע אֵלָיו וְלֹא תָחוֹס עֵינְךָ עָלָיו וְלֹא תַחְמֹל וְלֹא תְכַסֶּה עָלָיוLo-toveh lo velo tishma elav velo-takhos eynekha alav velo-takhmol velo-tekhaseh alav.you shall not yield to him nor listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him nor conceal his guilt;
13:10כִּי הָרֹג תַּהַרְגֶנּוּ יָדְךָ תִּהְיֶה בּוֹ בָרִאשׁוֹנָה לַהֲמִיתוֹ וְיַד כָּל הָעָם בָּאַחֲרֹנָהKi harog tahargenu yadekha tihyeh-bo varishonah lahamito veyad kol-ha'am ba'akharonah.but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.
13:11וּסְקַלְתּוֹ בָאֲבָנִים וָמֵת כִּי בִקֵּשׁ לְהַדִּיחֲךָ מֵעַל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ הַמּוֹצִיאֲךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם מִבֵּית עֲבָדִיםUskalto va'avanim vamet ki vikesh lehadikhakha me'al Adonay Eloheykha hamotsi'akha me'erets Mitsrayim mibeyt avadim.And you shall stone him with stones, that he dies, because he sought to draw you away from the Eternal your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
13:12וְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל יִשְׁמְעוּ וְיִרָאוּן וְלֹא יוֹסִפוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת כַּדָּבָר הָרָע הַזֶּה בְּקִרְבֶּךָVechol-Yisra'el yishme'u veyira'un velo-yosifu la'asot kadavar hara hazeh bekirbekha.And all Israel shall hear and fear, and shall never again do such wickedness as this among you.
13:13כִּי תִשְׁמַע בְּאַחַת עָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ לָשֶׁבֶת שָׁם לֵאמֹרKi-tishma be'akhat areykha asher Adonay Eloheykha noten lekha lashevet sham lemor.If you hear it said, concerning one of your cities which the Eternal your God gives you to dwell in,
13:14יָצְאוּ אֲנָשִׁים בְּנֵי בְלִיַּעַל מִקִּרְבֶּךָ וַיַּדִּיחוּ אֶת יֹשְׁבֵי עִירָם לֵאמֹר נֵלְכָה וְנַעַבְדָה אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יְדַעְתֶּםYatse'u anashim bney-Vliya'al mikirbekha vayadikhu et-yoshvey iram lemor nelkhah vena'avdah elohim akherim asher lo-yedatem.'Certain worthless men have gone out from among you and have led astray the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods,' which you have not known,
13:15וְדָרַשְׁתָּ וְחָקַרְתָּ וְשָׁאַלְתָּ הֵיטֵב וְהִנֵּה אֱמֶת נָכוֹן הַדָּבָר נֶעֶשְׂתָה הַתּוֹעֵבָה הַזֹּאת בְּקִרְבֶּךָVedarashta vekhakarta vesha'alta heytev vehineh emet nakhon hadavar ne'estah hato'evah hazot bekirbekha.then you shall inquire and search and ask diligently; and if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination was committed among you,
13:16הַכֵּה תַכֶּה אֶת יֹשְׁבֵי הָעִיר ההוא הַהִיא לְפִי חָרֶב הַחֲרֵם אֹתָהּ וְאֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר בָּהּ וְאֶת בְּהֶמְתָּהּ לְפִי חָרֶבHakeh takeh et-yoshvey ha'ir hahi lefi-kharev hakharem otah ve'et-kol-asher-bah ve'et-behemtah lefi-kharev.you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it and all who are in it, and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.
13:17וְאֶת כָּל שְׁלָלָהּ תִּקְבֹּץ אֶל תּוֹךְ רְחֹבָהּ וְשָׂרַפְתָּ בָאֵשׁ אֶת הָעִיר וְאֶת כָּל שְׁלָלָהּ כָּלִיל לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהָיְתָה תֵּל עוֹלָם לֹא תִבָּנֶה עוֹדVe'et-kol-shlalah tikbots el-tokh rekhovah vesarafta va'esh et-ha'ir ve'et-kol-shlalah kalil l'Adonay Eloheykha vehayetah tel olam lo tibaneh od.And you shall gather all its plunder into the middle of its open square, and burn the city with fire, and all its plunder, entirely, to the Eternal your God; and it shall be a heap forever; it shall never be rebuilt.
13:18וְלֹא יִדְבַּק בְּיָדְךָ מְאוּמָה מִן הַחֵרֶם לְמַעַן יָשׁוּב יְהוָה מֵחֲרוֹן אַפּוֹ וְנָתַן לְךָ רַחֲמִים וְרִחַמְךָ וְהִרְבֶּךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַאֲבֹתֶיךָVelo-yidbak beyadekha me'umah min-hacherem lema'an yashuv Adonay mekharon apo venatan-lecha rakhamim verikhamekha vehirbekha ka'asher nishba la'avoteykha.And none of the accursed things shall cling to your hand, that the Eternal may turn from the fierceness of His anger and show you mercy, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as He swore to your fathers,
13:19כִּי תִשְׁמַע בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר אֶת כָּל מִצְוֺתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם לַעֲשׂוֹת הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָKi tishma bekol Adonay Eloheykha lishmor et-kol-mitsvotav asher anokhi metsavekha hayom la'asot hayashar be'eyney Adonay Eloheykha.because you obey the voice of the Eternal your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of the Eternal your God.

14:1בָּנִים אַתֶּם לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם לֹא תִתְגֹּדְדוּ וְלֹא תָשִׂימוּ קָרְחָה בֵּין עֵינֵיכֶם לָמֵתBanim atem l'Adonay Eloheykhem lo titgodedu velo-tasimu korkhah beyn eyneykhem lamet.You are children of the Eternal your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
14:2כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּבְךָ בָּחַר יְהוָה לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה מִכֹּל הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָהKi am kadosh atah l'Adonay Eloheykha uvekha bakhar Adonay lihyot lo le'am sgulah mikol ha'amim asher al-peney ha'adamah.For you are a holy people to the Eternal your God, and the Eternal has chosen you to be a treasured people to Himself, above all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
14:3לֹא תֹאכַל כָּל תּוֹעֵבָהLo tokhal kol-to'evah.You shall not eat any abominable thing.
14:4זֹאת הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכֵלוּ שׁוֹר שֵׂה כְשָׂבִים וְשֵׂה עִזִּיםZot habehemah asher tokhelu shor seh khesavim veseh izim.These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
14:5אַיָּל וּצְבִי וְיַחְמוּר וְאַקּוֹ וְדִישֹׁן וּתְאוֹ וָזָמֶרAyal utsvi veyakhmur ve'ako vedishon ute'o vazamer.the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep.
14:6וְכָל בְּהֵמָה מַפְרֶסֶת פַּרְסָה וְשֹׁסַעַת שֶׁסַע שְׁתֵּי פְרָסוֹת מַעֲלַת גֵּרָה בַּבְּהֵמָה אֹתָהּ תֹּאכֵלוּVekol-behemah mafreset parsah veshosa'at shesa shtey frasot ma'alat gerah babehemah otah tokhelu.And every animal that divides the hoof, having the hoof cloven in two and chewing the cud, among the animals, that you may eat.
14:7אַךְ אֶת זֶה לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִמַּעֲלֵי הַגֵּרָה וּמִמַּפְרִיסֵי הַפַּרְסָה הַשְּׁסוּעָה אֶת הַגָּמָל וְאֶת הָאַרְנֶבֶת וְאֶת הַשָּׁפָן כִּי מַעֲלֵה גֵרָה הֵמָּה וּפַרְסָה לֹא הִפְרִיסוּ טְמֵאִים הֵם לָכֶםAch et-zeh lo tokhlu mima'aley hagerah umimafrisey haparsah hashesu'ah et-hagamal ve'et-ha'arnevet ve'et-hashafan ki-ma'aleh gerah hemah ufarsah lo hifrisu tme'im hem lakhem.Nevertheless, of those that chew the cud or that have the hoof cloven, you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger, for they chew the cud but do not divide the hoof; they are unclean to you.
14:8וְאֶת הַחֲזִיר כִּי מַפְרִיס פַּרְסָה הוּא וְלֹא גֵרָה טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם מִבְּשָׂרָם לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָם לֹא תִגָּעוּVe'et-hakhazir ki-mafris parsah hu velo gerah tame hu lakhem mibesaram lo tokhelu uvenivlatam lo tiga'u.And the pig, because it divides the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you; you shall not eat their flesh, nor touch their carcass.
14:9אֶת זֶה תֹּאכְלוּ מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר בַּמָּיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר לוֹ סְנַפִּיר וְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂת תֹּאכֵלוּEt-zeh tokhelu mikol asher bamayim kol asher-lo snapir vekaskeset tokhelu.These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales you may eat;
14:10וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֵין לוֹ סְנַפִּיר וְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂת לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶםVekol asher eyn-lo snapir vekaskeset lo tokhelu tame hu lakhem.and whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean to you.
14:11כָּל צִפּוֹר טְהֹרָה תֹּאכֵלוּKol-tsipor tehorah tokhelu.You may eat every clean bird.
14:12וְזֶה אֲשֶׁר לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מֵהֶם הַנֶּשֶׁר וְהַפֶּרֶס וְהָעָזְנִיָּהVezeh asher lo-tokhlu mehem hanesher vehaperes veha'ozniyah.But these are the ones you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, and the black vulture,
14:13וְהָרָאָה וְאֶת הָאַיָּה וְהַדַּיָּה לְמִינָהּVehara'ah ve'et-ha'ayah vehadayah leminah.the kite, the falcon, and the buzzard after its kind,
14:14וְאֵת כָּל עֹרֵב לְמִינוֹVe'et kol-orev lemino.and every raven after its kind,
14:15וְאֵת בַּת הַיַּעֲנָה וְאֶת הַתַּחְמָס וְאֶת הַשָּׁחַף וְאֶת הַנֵּץ לְמִינֵהוּVe'et bat haya'anah ve'et-hatakhmas ve'et-hashakhaf ve'et-hanets leminehu.the ostrich, the nighthawk, the seagull, and the hawk after its kind,
14:16אֶת הַכּוֹס וְאֶת הַיַּנְשׁוּף וְהַתִּנְשָׁמֶתEt-hakos ve'et-hayanshuf vehatinshamet.the little owl, the great owl, and the white owl,
14:17וְהַקָּאָת וְאֶת הָרָחָמָה וְאֶת הַשָּׁלָךְVehaka'at ve'et-harakhamah ve'et-hashalakh.the pelican, the carrion vulture, and the cormorant,
14:18וְהַחֲסִידָה וְהָאֲנָפָה לְמִינָהּ וְהַדּוּכִיפַת וְהָעֲטַלֵּףVehakhasidah veha'anafah leminah vehadukhifat veha'atalef.the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
14:19וְכֹל שֶׁרֶץ הָעוֹף טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם לֹא יֵאָכֵלוּVekol sherets ha'of tame hu lakhem lo ye'akhelu.And every winged insect is unclean to you; they shall not be eaten.
14:20כָּל עוֹף טָהוֹר תֹּאכֵלוּKol-of tahor tokhelu.You may eat every clean bird.
14:21לֹא תֹאכְלוּ כָל נְבֵלָה לַגֵּר אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ תִּתְּנֶנָּה וַאֲכָלָהּ אוֹ מָכֹר לְנָכְרִי כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא תְבַשֵּׁל גְּדִי בַּחֲלֵב אִמּוֹLo tokhlu kol-nevelah lager asher-bish'areykha titnenah va'akhalah o makor lenokri ki am kadosh atah l'Adonay Eloheykha lo-tevashel gedi bakhalev imo.You shall not eat anything that dies of itself; you may give it to the stranger who is within your gates, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the Eternal your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

14:22עַשֵּׂר תְּעַשֵּׂר אֵת כָּל תְּבוּאַת זַרְעֶךָ הַיֹּצֵא הַשָּׂדֶה שָׁנָה שָׁנָהAser te'aser et kol-tvu'at zar'ekha hayotse hasadeh shanah shanah.You shall surely tithe all the produce of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.
14:23וְאָכַלְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם מַעְשַׂר דְּגָנְךָ תִּירֹשְׁךָ וְיִצְהָרֶךָ וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקָרְךָ וְצֹאנֶךָ לְמַעַן תִּלְמַד לְיִרְאָה אֶת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כָּל הַיָּמִיםVe'akhalta lifney Adonay Eloheykha bamakom asher-yivkhar leshaken shemo sham masar degankha tiroshkha veyitsharekha uvekhorot bekarekha vetsonekha lema'an tilmad leyir'ah et-Adonay Eloheykha kol-hayamim.And you shall eat before the Eternal your God, in the place which He chooses to make His name dwell there, the tithe of your grain, your new wine, and your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the Eternal your God always.
14:24וְכִי יִרְבֶּה מִמְּךָ הַדֶּרֶךְ כִּי לֹא תוּכַל שְׂאֵתוֹ כִּי יִרְחַק מִמְּךָ הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָשׂוּם שְׁמוֹ שָׁם כִּי יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָVekhi-yirbeh mimekha haderekh ki lo tukhal seto ki-yirkhak mimkha hamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykha lasum shmo sham ki yevarekhekha Adonay Eloheykha.But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, because the place where the Eternal your God chooses to set His name is too far from you, when the Eternal your God has blessed you,
14:25וְנָתַתָּה בַּכָּסֶף וְצַרְתָּ הַכֶּסֶף בְּיָדְךָ וְהָלַכְתָּ אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹVenatatah bakasef vetsarta hakesef beyadekha vehalakhta el-hamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykha bo.then you shall turn it into money, and take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Eternal your God chooses.
14:26וְנָתַתָּה הַכֶּסֶף בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תְּאַוֶּה נַפְשְׁךָ בַּבָּקָר וּבַצֹּאן וּבַיַּיִן וּבַשֵּׁכָר וּבְכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁאָלְךָ נַפְשֶׁךָ וְאָכַלְתָּ שָּׁם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְשָׂמַחְתָּ אַתָּה וּבֵיתֶךָVenatatah hakesef bekol asher-te'aveh nafshekha babakar uvatson uvayayin uvashekhar uvekol asher tish'alkha nafshekha ve'akhalta sham lifney Adonay Eloheykha vesamakhta atah uveytekha.And you shall spend that money for whatever your soul desires: for oxen, or sheep, or wine, or strong drink, or whatever your soul desires; and you shall eat there before the Eternal your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
14:27וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ לֹא תַעַזְבֶנּוּ כִּי אֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק וְנַחֲלָה עִמָּךְVehaLevi asher-bish'areykha lo ta'azvenu ki eyn lo khelek venakhalah imakh.And you shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
14:28מִקְצֵה שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים תּוֹצִיא אֶת כָּל מַעְשַׂר תְּבוּאָתְךָ בַּשָּׁנָה הַהִוא וְהִנַּחְתָּ בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָMiktseh shalosh shanim totsi et-kol-masar tevu'atkha bashanah hakhi vehinakhta bish'areykha.At the end of every third year, you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce for that year, and store it within your gates,
14:29וּבָא הַלֵּוִי כִּי אֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק וְנַחֲלָה עִמָּךְ וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְאָכְלוּ וְשָׂבֵעוּ לְמַעַן יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל מַעֲשֵׂה יָדְךָ אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂהUva haLevi ki eyn-lo khelek venakhalah imakh vehager vehayatom veha'almanah asher bish'areykha ve'akhlu vesave'u lema'an yevarekhekha Adonay Eloheykha bekol-ma'aseh yadekha asher ta'aseh.and the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates, shall come and eat and be satisfied, that the Eternal your God may bless you in all the work of your hand that you do.

15:1מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׁמִטָּהMikets sheva-shanim ta'aseh shmitah.At the end of every seven years, you shall grant a release.
15:2וְזֶה דְּבַר הַשְּׁמִטָּה שָׁמוֹט כָּל בַּעַל מַשֵּׁה יָדוֹ אֲשֶׁר יַשֶּׁה בְּרֵעֵהוּ לֹא יִגֹּשׂ אֶת רֵעֵהוּ וְאֶת אָחִיו כִּי קָרָא שְׁמִטָּה לַיהוָהVezeh devar hashmitah shamot kol-ba'al masheh yado asher yasheh bere'ehu lo yigos et-re'ehu ve'et-akhiv ki-kara shmitah l'Adonay.And this is the manner of the release: every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the Eternal's release.
15:3אֶת הַנָּכְרִי תִּגֹּשׂ וַאֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה לְךָ אֶת אָחִיךָ תַּשְׁמֵט יָדֶךָEt-hanokri tigos va'asher yihyeh lekha et-akhikha tashmet yadekha.Of a foreigner you may require it, but whatever is owed by your brother, your hand shall release.
15:4אֶפֶס כִּי לֹא יִהְיֶה בְּךָ אֶבְיוֹן כִּי בָרֵךְ יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ נַחֲלָה לְרִשְׁתָּהּEfes ki lo yihyeh-bekha evyon ki-varekh yevarekhekha Adonay ba'arets asher Adonay Eloheykha noten-lekha nakhalah lerishtah.Except when there may be no poor among you; for the Eternal will greatly bless you in the land which the Eternal your God gives you to possess as an inheritance,
15:5רַק אִם שָׁמוֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר לַעֲשׂוֹת אֶת כָּל הַמִּצְוָה הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹםRak im-shamoa tishma bekol Adonay Eloheykha lishmor la'asot et-kol-hamitsvah hazot asher anokhi metsavekha hayom.only if you carefully obey the voice of the Eternal your God, to observe and do all these commandments which I command you today.
15:6כִּי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בֵּרַכְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לָךְ וְהַעֲבַטְתָּ גּוֹיִם רַבִּים וְאַתָּה לֹא תַעֲבֹט וּמָשַׁלְתָּ בְּגוֹיִם רַבִּים וּבְךָ לֹא יִמְשֹׁלוּKi-Adonay Eloheykha berakhekha ka'asher diber-lakh veha'avateta goyim rabim ve'atah lo ta'avot umashalta begoyim rabim uvekha lo yimsholu.For the Eternal your God will bless you as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.
15:7כִּי יִהְיֶה בְךָ אֶבְיוֹן מֵאַחַד אַחֶיךָ בְּאַחַד שְׁעָרֶיךָ בְּאַרְצְךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ לֹא תְאַמֵּץ אֶת לְבָבְךָ וְלֹא תִקְפֹּץ אֶת יָדְךָ מֵאָחִיךָ הָאֶבְיוֹןKi-yihyeh vekha evyon me'akhad akheikha be'akhad she'areykha be'artsekha asher-Adonay Eloheykha noten lakh lo te'amets et-levavekha velo tikpots et-yadekha me'akhikha ha'evyon.If there is among you a poor man of one of your brothers, within any of your gates, in your land which the Eternal your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother,
15:8כִּי פָתֹחַ תִּפְתַּח אֶת יָדְךָ לוֹ וְהַעֲבֵט תַּעֲבִיטֶנּוּ דֵּי מַחְסֹרוֹ אֲשֶׁר יֶחְסַר לוֹKi-fatoakh tiftakh et-yadekha lo veha'avet ta'avitenu dey maksoro asher yeksar lo.but you shall surely open your hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.
15:9הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן יִהְיֶה דָבָר עִם לְבָבְךָ בְלִיַּעַל לֵאמֹר קָרְבָה שְׁנַת הַשֶּׁבַע שְׁנַת הַשְּׁמִטָּה וְרָעָה עֵינְךָ בְּאָחִיךָ הָאֶבְיוֹן וְלֹא תִתֵּן לוֹ וְקָרָא עָלֶיךָ אֶל יְהוָה וְהָיָה בְךָ חֵטְאHishamer lekha pen-yihyeh davar im-levavekha vliya'al lemor karvah shnat-hasheva shnat hashmitah vera'ah eynekha be'akhikha ha'evyon velo titen lo vekara aleykha el-Adonay vehayah vekha khet.Take heed lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, 'The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,' and your eye be evil toward your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cries out to the Eternal against you, and it becomes sin among you.
15:10נָתוֹן תִּתֵּן לוֹ וְלֹא יֵרַע לְבָבְךָ בְּתִתְּךָ לוֹ כִּי בִּגְלַל הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל מַעֲשֶׂךָ וּבְכֹל מִשְׁלַח יָדֶךָNaton titen lo velo-yera levavekha betitkha lo ki biglal hadavar hazeh yevarekhekha Adonay Eloheykha bekol-ma'asecha uvekol mishlakh yadekha.You shall surely give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Eternal your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.
15:11כִּי לֹא יֶחְדַּל אֶבְיוֹן מִקֶּרֶב הָאָרֶץ עַל כֵּן אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ לֵאמֹר פָּתֹחַ תִּפְתַּח אֶת יָדְךָ לְאָחִיךָ לַעֲנִיֶּךָ וּלְאֶבְיֹנְךָ בְּאַרְצֶךָKi lo-yekhdal evyon mikerev ha'arets al-ken anokhi metsavekha lemor patoakh tiftakh et-yadekha le'akhikha la'anyekha ule'evyonkha be'artsekha.For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall surely open your hand to your brother, to your poor and needy, in your land.'
15:12כִּי יִמָּכֵר לְךָ אָחִיךָ הָעִבְרִי אוֹ הָעִבְרִיָּה וַעֲבָדְךָ שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וּבַשָּׁנָה הַשְּׁבִיעִת תְּשַׁלְּחֶנּוּ חָפְשִׁי מֵעִמָּךְKi yimakher lekha akhikha ha'Ivri o ha'Ivriyah va'avadkha shesh shanim uvashanah hashvi'it teshalkhenu chofshi me'imakh.If your brother, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you.
15:13וְכִי תְשַׁלְּחֶנּוּ חָפְשִׁי מֵעִמָּךְ לֹא תְשַׁלְּחֶנּוּ רֵיקָםVechi-teshalekhenu khofshi me'imakh lo teshalekhenu reykam.And when you send him away free from you, you shall not let him go away empty-handed;
15:14הַעֲנֵיק תַּעֲנִיק לוֹ מִצֹּאנְךָ וּמִגָּרְנְךָ וּמִיִּקְבֶךָ אֲשֶׁר בֵּרַכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תִּתֶּן לוֹHa'aneyk ta'anik lo mitsonekha umigornekha umikvekha asher berakhekha Adonay Eloheykha titen-lo.you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress; from what the Eternal your God has blessed you with, you shall give to him.
15:15וְזָכַרְתָּ כִּי עֶבֶד הָיִיתָ בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וַיִּפְדְּךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עַל כֵּן אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ אֶת הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה הַיּוֹםVezakharta ki eved hayita be'erets Mitsrayim vayifdekha Adonay Eloheykha al-ken anokhi metsavekha et-hadavar hazeh hayom.And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Eternal your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.
15:16וְהָיָה כִּי יֹאמַר אֵלֶיךָ לֹא אֵצֵא מֵעִמָּךְ כִּי אֲהֵבְךָ וְאֶת בֵּיתֶךָ כִּי טוֹב לוֹ עִמָּךְVehayah ki-yomar eleykha lo etse me'imakh ki ahevkha ve'et-beytekha ki-tov lo imakh.And if it happens that he says to you, 'I will not go away from you,' because he loves you and your house, since he is well off with you,
15:17וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת הַמַּרְצֵעַ וְנָתַתָּה בְאָזְנוֹ וּבַדֶּלֶת וְהָיָה לְךָ עֶבֶד עוֹלָם וְאַף לַאֲמָתְךָ תַּעֲשֶׂה כֵּןVelakakhta et-hamartsea venatatah ve'ozno uvadelet vehayah lekha eved olam ve'af la'amatkha ta'aseh-ken.then you shall take an awl and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be your servant forever. And also to your female servant you shall do likewise.
15:18לֹא יִקְשֶׁה בְעֵינֶךָ בְּשַׁלֵּחֲךָ אֹתוֹ חָפְשִׁי מֵעִמָּךְ כִּי מִשְׁנֶה שְׂכַר שָׂכִיר עֲבָדְךָ שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וּבֵרַכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂהLo-yiksheh ve'eynekha beshalekhakha oto khofshi me'imakh ki mishneh schar sakhir avadekha shesh shanim uverakhekha Adonay Eloheykha bekol asher ta'aseh.It shall not seem hard to you when you send him away free from you, for he has been worth a double hired servant's wages to you, in serving you six years. And the Eternal your God will bless you in all that you do.

15:19כָּל הַבְּכוֹר אֲשֶׁר יִוָּלֵד בִּבְקָרְךָ וּבְצֹאנְךָ הַזָּכָר תַּקְדִּישׁ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא תַעֲבֹד בִּבְכֹר שׁוֹרֶךָ וְלֹא תָגֹז בְּכוֹר צֹאנֶךָKol-habekor asher yivaled bivekarkha uvetsonkha hazakhar takdish l'Adonay Eloheykha lo ta'avod bivkhor shorekha velo tagoz bekor tsonekha.All the firstborn males that come from your herd and your flock, you shall sanctify to the Eternal your God; you shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.
15:20לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תֹאכֲלֶנּוּ שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אַתָּה וּבֵיתֶךָLifney Adonay Eloheykha tokhlenu shanah veshanah bamakom asher-yivkhar Adonay atah uveytekha.You shall eat it before the Eternal your God year by year, you and your household, in the place which the Eternal chooses.
15:21וְכִי יִהְיֶה בוֹ מוּם פִּסֵּחַ אוֹ עִוֵּר כֹּל מוּם רָע לֹא תִזְבָּחֶנּוּ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָVechi-yihyeh vo mum pise'akh o iver kol mum ra lo tizbakhenu l'Adonay Eloheykha.But if there is a defect in it, such as lameness or blindness, or any serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the Eternal your God.
15:22בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ תֹּאכֲלֶנּוּ הַטָּמֵא וְהַטָּהוֹר יַחְדָּו כַּצְּבִי וְכָאַיָּלBish'areykha tokhelenu hatame vehatahor yakdav katsvi vekha'ayal.You shall eat it within your gates; the unclean and the clean alike may eat it, as the gazelle and the deer.
15:23רַק אֶת דָּמוֹ לֹא תֹאכֵל עַל הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּ כַּמָּיִםRak et-damo lo tokhel al-ha'arets tishpekhenu kamayim.Only you shall not eat its blood; you shall pour it on the ground like water.
16:1שָׁמוֹר אֶת חֹדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב וְעָשִׂיתָ פֶּסַח לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי בְּחֹדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב הוֹצִיאֲךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מִמִּצְרַיִם לָיְלָהShamor et-kodesh ha'Aviv ve'asita Pesakh l'Adonay Eloheykha ki bekhodesh ha'Aviv hotsi'akha Adonay Eloheykha miMitsrayim laylah.Observe the month of Aviv, and keep the Passover to the Eternal your God, for in the month of Aviv the Eternal your God brought you out of Egypt by night.
16:2וְזָבַחְתָּ פֶּסַח לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ צֹאן וּבָקָר בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁםVezavakhta Pesakh l'Adonay Eloheykha tson uvakar bamakom asher yivekhar Adonay leshaken shmo sham.You shall sacrifice the Passover to the Eternal your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the Eternal chooses to make His name dwell there.
16:3לֹא תֹאכַל עָלָיו חָמֵץ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תֹּאכַל עָלָיו מַצּוֹת לֶחֶם עֹנִי כִּי בְחִפָּזוֹן יָצָאתָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לְמַעַן תִּזְכֹּר אֶת יוֹם צֵאתְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָLo-tokhal alav khamets shiv'at yamim tokhal-alav matsot lekhem oni ki vekhipazon yatsata me'erets Mitsrayim lema'an tizkor et-yom tsetkha me'erets Mitsrayim kol yemey khayeykha.You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of affliction, for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste, that you may remember the day you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
16:4וְלֹא יֵרָאֶה לְךָ שְׂאֹר בְּכָל גְּבֻלְךָ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וְלֹא יָלִין מִן הַבָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר תִּזְבַּח בָּעֶרֶב בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן לַבֹּקֶרVelo-yera'eh lekha se'or bekol-gevulkha shiv'at yamim velo-yalin min-habasar asher tizbakh ba'erev bayom harishon laboker.No leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory for seven days, and none of the meat which you sacrifice on the evening of the first day shall remain overnight until morning.
16:5לֹא תוּכַל לִזְבֹּחַ אֶת הַפָּסַח בְּאַחַד שְׁעָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְLo tukhal lizboakh et-haPasakh be'akhad she'areykha asher-Adonay Eloheykha noten lakh.You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which the Eternal your God gives you,
16:6כִּי אִם אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם תִּזְבַּח אֶת הַפֶּסַח בָּעָרֶב כְּבוֹא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ מוֹעֵד צֵאתְךָ מִמִּצְרָיִםKi im-el-hamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykha leshaken shmo sham tizbakh et-haPesakh ba'arev kevo hashemesh mo'ed tsetkha miMitsrayim.but at the place which the Eternal your God chooses to make His name dwell, there you shall sacrifice the Passover in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt.
16:7וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ וְאָכַלְתָּ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹ וּפָנִיתָ בַבֹּקֶר וְהָלַכְתָּ לְאֹהָלֶיךָUvishalta ve'akhalta bamakom asher yivekhar Adonay Eloheykha bo ufanita vaboker vehalakhta le'ohaleykha.And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the Eternal your God chooses, and in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents.
16:8שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תֹּאכַל מַצּוֹת וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי עֲצֶרֶת לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא תַעֲשֶׂה מְלָאכָהSheshet yamim tokhal matsot uvayom hashvi'i atseret l'Adonay Eloheykha lo ta'aseh melakhah.Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly to the Eternal your God; you shall do no work on it.
16:9שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעֹת תִּסְפָּר לָךְ מֵהָחֵל חֶרְמֵשׁ בַּקָּמָה תָּחֵל לִסְפֹּר שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעוֹתShiv'ah shavu'ot tispor-lakh mehakhel khermesh bakamah takhel lispor shiv'ah shavu'ot.You shall count seven weeks for yourself; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain.
16:10וְעָשִׂיתָ חַג שָׁבֻעוֹת לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מִסַּת נִדְבַת יָדְךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּתֵּן כַּאֲשֶׁר יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָVe'asita khag Shavu'ot l'Adonay Eloheykha misat nidvat yadekha asher titen ka'asher yevarekhekha Adonay Eloheykha.Then you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to the Eternal your God with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as the Eternal your God blesses you.
16:11וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁםVesamakhta lifney Adonay Eloheykha atah uvinkha uvitekha ve'avdekha va'amatekha vehaLevi asher bish'areykha vehager vehayatom veha'almanah asher bekirbekha bamakom asher yivkhar Adonay Eloheykha leshaken shmo sham.And you shall rejoice before the Eternal your God, you and your son and your daughter, your manservant and your maidservant, the Levite who is within your gates, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are among you, at the place which the Eternal your God chooses to make His name dwell there.
16:12וְזָכַרְתָּ כִּי עֶבֶד הָיִיתָ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְשָׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּהVezakharta ki-eved hayita beMitsrayim veshamarta ve'asita et-hakhukim ha'eleh.And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.

16:13חַג הַסֻּכֹּת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְךָ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים בְּאָסְפְּךָ מִגָּרְנְךָ וּמִיִּקְבֶךָKhag haSukot ta'aseh lekha shiv'at yamim be'ospekha migornekha umiyikvekha.You shall keep the Feast of Booths seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress.
16:14וְשָׂמַחְתָּ בְּחַגֶּךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָVesamakhta bekhagekha atah uvinkha uvitekha ve'avdekha va'amatekha vehaLevi vehager vehayatom veha'almanah asher bish'areykha.And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your manservant and your maidservant, the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates.
16:15שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תָּחֹג לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה כִּי יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל תְּבוּאָתְךָ וּבְכֹל מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ וְהָיִיתָ אַךְ שָׂמֵחַShiv'at yamim takhog l'Adonay Eloheykha bamakom asher-yivkhar Adonay ki yevarekhekha Adonay Eloheykha bekol tevu'atkha uvekol ma'aseh yadeykha vehayita akh same'akh.Seven days you shall keep a solemn feast to the Eternal your God in the place which the Eternal chooses, because the Eternal your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, and you shall surely rejoice.
16:16שָׁלוֹשׁ פְּעָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה יֵרָאֶה כָל זְכוּרְךָ אֶת פְּנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחָר בְּחַג הַמַּצּוֹת וּבְחַג הַשָּׁבֻעוֹת וּבְחַג הַסֻּכּוֹת וְלֹא יֵרָאֶה אֶת פְּנֵי יְהוָה רֵיקָםShalosh pe'amim bashanah yera'eh kol-zkhurekha et-peney Adonay Eloheykha bamakom asher yivkhar bekhag haMatsot uvekhag haShavu'ot uvekhag haSukot velo yera'eh et-peney Adonay reykam.Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Eternal your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths; and they shall not appear before the Eternal empty-handed.
16:17אִישׁ כְּמַתְּנַת יָדוֹ כְּבִרְכַּת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָךְIsh kematnat yado kevirkat Adonay Eloheykha asher natan-lakh.Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Eternal your God which He has given you.

54:11עֲנִיָּה סֹעֲרָה לֹא נֻחָמָה הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מַרְבִּיץ בַּפּוּךְ אֲבָנַיִךְ וִיסַדְתִּיךְ בַּסַּפִּירִיםAnyah so'arah lo nukhamah hineh anokhi marbits bapukh avanayikh visadetikh basapirim.O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones with fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
54:12וְשַׂמְתִּי כַּדְכֹד שִׁמְשֹׁתַיִךְ וּשְׁעָרַיִךְ לְאַבְנֵי אֶקְדָּח וְכָל גְּבוּלֵךְ לְאַבְנֵי חֵפֶץVesamti kadkhod shimshotayikh ushe'arayikh le'avney ekedakh vekhol-gevulekh le'avney-khefets.And I will make your windows of rubies, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of precious stones.
54:13וְכָל בָּנַיִךְ לִמּוּדֵי יְהוָה וְרַב שְׁלוֹם בָּנָיִךְVekhol-banayikh limudey Adonay verav shelom banayikh.And all your children shall be taught by the Eternal, and great shall be the peace of your children.
54:14בִּצְדָקָה תִּכּוֹנָנִי רַחֲקִי מֵעֹשֶׁק כִּי לֹא תִירָאִי וּמִמְּחִתָּה כִּי לֹא תִקְרַב אֵלָיִךְBitsdakah tikonani rakhaki me'oshek ki-lo tira'i umimkhitah ki lo-tikrav elayikh.In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.
54:15הֵן גּוֹר יָגוּר אֶפֶס מֵאוֹתִי מִי גָר אִתָּךְ עָלַיִךְ יִפּוֹלHen gor yagur efes me'oti mi-gar itakh alayikh yipol.Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by Me; whoever gathers together against you shall fall for your sake.
54:16הן הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי בָּרָאתִי חָרָשׁ נֹפֵחַ בְּאֵשׁ פֶּחָם וּמוֹצִיא כְלִי לְמַעֲשֵׂהוּ וְאָנֹכִי בָּרָאתִי מַשְׁחִית לְחַבֵּלHineh anokhi barati kharash nofe'akh be'esh pekham umotsi kheli lema'asehu ve'anokhi barati mashkhit lekhabel.Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coals in the fire and brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to lay waste.
54:17כָּל כְּלִי יוּצַר עָלַיִךְ לֹא יִצְלָח וְכָל לָשׁוֹן תָּקוּם אִתָּךְ לַמִּשְׁפָּט תַּרְשִׁיעִי זֹאת נַחֲלַת עַבְדֵי יְהוָה וְצִדְקָתָם מֵאִתִּי נְאֻם יְהוָהKol-keli yutsar alayikh lo yitslakh vekhol-lashon takum-itakh lamishpat tarshi'i zot nakhalat avdey Adonay vetsidkatam me'iti neum-Adonay.No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Eternal, and their righteousness is of Me, says the Eternal.
55:1הוֹי כָּל צָמֵא לְכוּ לַמַּיִם וַאֲשֶׁר אֵין לוֹ כָּסֶף לְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ וֶאֱכֹלוּ וּלְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ בְּלוֹא כֶסֶף וּבְלוֹא מְחִיר יַיִן וְחָלָבHoy kol-tsame lechu lamayim va'asher eyn-lo kasef lechu shivru ve'ekholu ulechu shivru belo-khesef uvelo mekhir yayin vekhalav.Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
55:2לָמָּה תִשְׁקְלוּ כֶסֶף בְּלוֹא לֶחֶם וִיגִיעֲכֶם בְּלוֹא לְשָׂבְעָה שִׁמְעוּ שָׁמוֹעַ אֵלַי וְאִכְלוּ טוֹב וְתִתְעַנַּג בַּדֶּשֶׁן נַפְשְׁכֶםLamah tishkelu-khesef belo-lekhem vigi'akhem belo lesove'ah shim'u shamoa elay ve'ikhlu-tov vetit'anag badeshen nafshekhem.Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your labor for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
55:3הַטּוּ אָזְנְכֶם וּלְכוּ אֵלַי שִׁמְעוּ וּתְחִי נַפְשְׁכֶם וְאֶכְרְתָה לָכֶם בְּרִית עוֹלָם חַסְדֵי דָוִד הַנֶּאֱמָנִיםHatu oznekhem ulechu elay shime'u utekhí nafshekhem ve'ekhretah lakhem berit olam khasdey David hane'emanim.Incline your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the sure mercies of David.
55:4הֵן עֵד לְאוּמִּים נְתַתִּיו נָגִיד וּמְצַוֵּה לְאֻמִּיםHen ed le'umim netativ nagid umetsaveh le'umim.Behold, I have given him as a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
55:5הֵן גּוֹי לֹא תֵדַע תִּקְרָא וְגוֹי לֹא יְדָעוּךָ אֵלֶיךָ יָרוּצוּ לְמַעַן יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְלִקְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי פֵאֲרָךְHen goy lo-teda tikra vegoy lo-yeda'ukha eleykha yarutsu lema'an Adonay Eloheykha velikdosh Yisra'el ki fe'arakh.Behold, you shall call a nation you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the Eternal your God, and the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you.
