39:2
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הָאֵפֹד זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר
Vayaas et haefod zahav tejelet veargaman vetolaat shani veshesh moshzar.
He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen.
39:3
וַיְרַקְּעוּ אֶת־פַּחֵי הַזָּהָב וְקִצֵּץ פְּתִילִים לַעֲשֹׂת בְּתוֹךְ הַתְּכֵלֶת וּבְתוֹךְ הָאַרְגָּמָן וּבְתוֹךְ תּוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי וּבְתוֹךְ הַשֵּׁשׁ מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב
Vayerakeu et paje hazahav vekitzetz petilim laasot betoj hatejelet uvetoj haargaman uvetoj tolaat hashaní uvetoj hashes maase joshév.
They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut them into threads to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and the fine linen in the work of a skilled craftsman.
39:4
כְּתֵפֹת עָשׂוּ לוֹ חֹבְרֹת אֶל־שְׁנֵי קְצֹתָיו חֻבָּר
Ketefot asu lo jovrot el shnei ketzotav jubar.
They made shoulder pieces for it, joined at its two edges so it could be fastened.
39:5
וְחֵשֶׁב אֲפֻדָּתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו מִמֶּנּוּ הוּא כְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Vejeshev afudató asher alav mimenu hu kemaasehu zahav tejelet veargaman vetolaat shani veshesh moshzar ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
The woven waistband of the ephod that was on it was of the same workmanship—gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen—as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:6
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־אַבְנֵי הַשֹּׁהַם מֻסַּבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב מְפֻתָּחֹת פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם עַל־שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל
Vayaasu et avnei hashoham musabot mishbetzot zahav mefutajot pitujé jotam al shemot bene Yisrael.
They set the onyx stones in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like signets with the names of the children of Israel.
39:7
וַיָּשֶׂם אֹתָם עַל כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד אַבְנֵי זִכָּרוֹן לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Vayasem otam al kitfot haefod avnei zikaron livnei Yisrael ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
He placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the children of Israel, as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:8
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַחֹשֶׁן מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב כְּמַעֲשֵׂה הָאֵפֹד זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר
Vayaas et hachoshen maase joshév kemaase haefod zahav tejelet veargaman vetolaat shani veshesh moshzar.
He made the breastpiece, the work of a skilled craftsman, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen.
39:9
רָבוּעַ הָיָה כָּפוּל עָשׂוּ אֶת־הַחֹשֶׁן זֶרֶת אָרְכּוֹ וְזֶרֶת רָחְבּוֹ כָּפוּל
Ravua haya kaful asu et hachoshen zeret orkó vezeret rojbo kaful.
It was square and folded double, a span long and a span wide when folded.
39:10
וַיְמַלְאוּ בוֹ אַרְבָּעָה טוּרֵי אָבֶן טוּר אֹדֶם פִּטְדָה וּבָרֶקֶת הַטּוּר הָאֶחָד
Vayemalú bo arbaá turei even; tur odem pitdá uvareket hatur haejad.
They mounted four rows of precious stones on it: the first row was ruby, topaz, and emerald.
39:11
וְהַטּוּר הַשֵּׁנִי נֹפֶךְ סַפִּיר וְיָהֲלֹם
Vehatur hasheni nofej sapir veyahalom.
The second row: turquoise, sapphire, and diamond.
39:12
וְהַטּוּר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי לֶשֶׁם שְׁבוֹ וְאַחְלָמָה
Vehatur hashelishi leshem shevo veajlamá.
The third row: jacinth, agate, and amethyst.
39:13
וְהַטּוּר הָרְבִיעִי תַּרְשִׁישׁ שֹׁהַם וְיָשְׁפֵה מֻסַּבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב בְּמִלּוּאֹתָם
Vehatur harevii tarshish shoham veyashfé musabot mishbetzot zahav bemiluotam.
The fourth row: beryl, onyx, and jasper; they were set in gold filigree settings.
39:14
וְהָאֲבָנִים עַל־שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הֵנָּה שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה עַל־שְׁמֹתָם פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם אִישׁ עַל־שְׁמוֹ לִשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר שָׁבֶט
Vehaavaním al shemot bene Yisrael hená shteim esré al shemotam pitujé jotam ish al shemo lishneim asar shavet.
The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel—twelve, engraved like signets, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
39:15
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ עַל־הַחֹשֶׁן שַׁרְשְׁרֹת גַּבְלֻת מַעֲשֵׂה עֲבֹת זָהָב טָהוֹר
Vayaasu al hachoshen sharshrot gablut maase avot zahav tahor.
They made braided chains of pure gold for the breastpiece.
39:16
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ שְׁתֵּי מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב וּשְׁתֵּי טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וַיִּתְּנוּ אֶת־שְׁתֵּי הַטַּבָּעוֹת עַל־שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן
Vayaasu shtei mishbetzot zahav ushtei tabot zahav vayitnu et shtei hatabaot al shnei ketzot hachoshen.
They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings and attached the rings to the two ends of the breastpiece.
39:17
וַיִּתְּנוּ אֶת־שְׁתֵּי עֲבֹתֹת הַזָּהָב עַל־שְׁתֵּי הַטַּבָּעוֹת אֶל־קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן
Vayitnu et shtei avotot hazahav al shtei hatabaot el ketzot hachoshen.
They attached the two braided gold chains to the rings at the ends of the breastpiece.
39:18
וְאֵת שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת שְׁתֵּי הָעֲבֹתֹת נָתְנוּ עַל־שְׁתֵּי הַמִּשְׁבְּצֹת וַיִּתְּנוּ אֹתָם עַל־כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד אֶל־מוּל פָּנָיו
Veet shnei ketzot shtei haavotot natnu al shtei hamishbetzot vayitnu otam al kitfot haefod el mul panav.
The other ends of the two chains they fastened to the two settings and attached them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.
39:19
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעוֹת זָהָב וַיָּשִׂימוּ עַל־שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן עַל־שְׂפָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר אֶל־עֵבֶר הָאֵפֹד בָּיְתָה
Vayaasu shtei tabot zahav vayasimu al shnei ketzot hachoshen al sefato asher el ever haefod bayta.
They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece on its inner edge next to the ephod.
39:20
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעוֹת זָהָב וַיִּתְּנוּ אֹתָם עַל־שְׁתֵּי כִתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד מִלְּמַטָּה מִמּוּל פָּנָיו לְעֻמַּת מַחְבַּרְתּוֹ מִמַּעַל לְחֵשֶׁב הָאֵפֹד
Vayaasu shtei tabot zahav vayitnu otam al shtei kitfot haefod milmata mimul panav leumat majbarto mimaal lejéshev haefod.
They made two other gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces of the ephod on the front, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.
39:21
וַיִּרְכְּסוּ אֶת־הַחֹשֶׁן מִטַּבְּעֹתָיו אֶל־טַבְּעֹת הָאֵפֹד בִּפְתִיל תְּכֵלֶת לִהְיוֹת עַל־חֵשֶׁב הָאֵפֹד וְלֹא־יִזַּח הַחֹשֶׁן מֵעַל הָאֵפֹד כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Vayirkesu et hachoshen mitabotaiv el tabot haefod biptil tejelet lihyot al jéshev haefod velo yizaj hachoshen meal haefod ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
They bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be above the waistband of the ephod and the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:22
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־מְעִיל הָאֵפֹד מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג כְּלִיל תְּכֵלֶת
Vayaas et meil haefod maase oreg kelil tejelet.
He made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue yarn, the work of a weaver.
39:23
וּפִי הַמְּעִיל בְּתוֹכוֹ כְּפִי תַחְרָא שָׂפָה לְפִיו סָבִיב מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג כְּפִי תַחְרָא יִהְיֶה לוֹ לֹא יִקָּרֵעַ
Ufi hameil betojo kefi tajra; safá lefiv saviv maase oreg kefi tajra yihye lo lo yikarea.
The opening of the robe was in the middle, like the opening of a coat of mail, with a woven binding around the opening so that it would not tear.
39:24
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ עַל־שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל רִמֹּנֵי תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי מָשְׁזָר
Vayaasu al shule hameil rimone tejelet veargaman vetolaat shani moshzar.
They made pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and twisted linen around the hem of the robe.
39:25
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פַעֲמֹנֵי זָהָב טָהוֹר וַיִּתְּנוּ אֶת־הַפַּעֲמֹנִים בְּתוֹךְ הָרִמֹּנִים עַל־שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל סָבִיב בְּתוֹךְ הָרִמֹּנִים
Vayaasu paamone zahav tahor vayitnu et hapaamonim betoj harimonim al shule hameil saviv betoj harimonim.
They made bells of pure gold and placed the bells between the pomegranates around the hem of the robe.
39:26
פַּעֲמֹן וְרִמּוֹן פַּעֲמֹן וְרִמּוֹן עַל־שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל סָבִיב לְשָׁרֵת כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Paamon verimon paamon verimon al shule hameil saviv lesharet ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, around the hem of the robe for ministering, as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:27
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־הַכֻּתֹּנֶת שֵׁשׁ מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו
Vayaasu et hakutonet shesh maase oreg leAharon ulevanav.
They made the tunics of fine linen, the work of a weaver, for Aaron and his sons.
39:28
וְאֵת הַמִּצְנֶפֶת שֵׁשׁ וְאֵת פַּאֲרֵי הַמִּגְבָּעֹת שֵׁשׁ וְאֵת מִכְנְסֵי הַבָּד שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר
Veet hamitznefet shesh veet paarei hamigbaot shesh veet mijense habad shesh moshzar.
And the turban of fine linen, the headdresses of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of finely twisted linen.
39:29
וְאֵת הָאַבְנֵט שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵם כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Veet haavnet shesh moshzar utejelet veargaman vetolaat shani maase rokem ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
And the sash of fine twisted linen and blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, embroidered work, as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:30
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־צִיץ נֵזֶר הַקֹּדֶשׁ זָהָב טָהוֹר וַיִּכְתְּבוּ עָלָיו מִכְתַּב פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם קֹדֶשׁ לַיהוָה
Vayaasu et tzitz nezer hakodesh zahav tahor vayijtevu alav miktav pitujé jotam: Kodesh LaAdonai.
They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold and engraved on it like a signet: “Holy to the Eternal.”
39:31
וַיִּתְּנוּ עָלָיו פְּתִיל תְּכֵלֶת לָתֵת עַל־הַמִּצְנֶפֶת מִלְמָעְלָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה
Vayitnu alav petil tejelet latet al hamitznefet milmaala ka'asher tziva Adonai et Moshe.
They fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban above, as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:32
וַתֵּכֶל כָּל־עֲבֹדַת מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וַיַּעֲשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשׂוּ
Vatekhel kol avodat mishkan Ohel Moed; vayaasu bene Yisrael kekhol asher tziva Adonai et Moshe ken asu.
Thus all the work of the Tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting was finished; the children of Israel did everything just as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:33
וַיָּבִיאוּ אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן אֶל־מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הָאֹהֶל וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו קְרָסָיו קְרָשָׁיו בְּרִיחָיו וְעַמֻּדָיו וַאֲדָנָיו
Vayaviu et hamishkan el Moshe et haOhel veet kol kelav kersav kerashav berijav veamudav vaadanav.
They brought the Tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, boards, bars, pillars, and bases.
39:34
וְאֵת מִכְסֵה עֹרֹת הָאֵילִם הַמְאָדָּמִים וְאֵת מִכְסֵה עֹרֹת הַתְּחָשִׁים וְאֵת פָּרֹכֶת הַמָּסָךְ
Veet mijse orot haelim hameodamim veet mijse orot hatejashim veet parokhet hamasaj.
The covering of rams’ skins dyed red, the covering of tachash skins, and the curtain of the screen.
39:35
אֶת אֲרֹן הָעֵדֻת וְאֶת בַּדָּיו וְאֵת הַכַּפֹּרֶת
Et aron haedut veet badav veet hakaporet.
The Ark of the Testimony with its poles and the cover.
39:36
אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן אֶת כָּל כֵּלָיו וְאֵת לֶחֶם הַפָּנִים
Et hashuljan et kol kelav veet lejem hapanim.
The table with all its utensils and the bread of the Presence.
39:37
אֶת הַמְּנֹרָה הַטְּהֹרָה אֶת נֵרֹתֶיהָ נֵרֹת הַמַּעֲרָכָה וְאֵת כָּל כֵּלֶיהָ וְאֵת שֶׁמֶן הַמָּאוֹר
Et hamenora hatehora et neroteha nerot hama'araja veet kol keleha veet shemen hamaor.
The pure lampstand with its lamps, the lamps to be set in order, all its utensils, and the oil for the light.
39:38
וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב וְאֵת שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה וְאֵת קְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים וְאֵת מָסַךְ פֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל
Veet mizbaj hazahav veet shemen hamishja veet ketoret hasamim veet masaj petaj haOhel.
The golden altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the entrance of the tent.
39:39
אֵת מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת וְאֶת מִכְבַּר הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר לוֹ אֶת בַּדָּיו וְאֶת כָּל כֵּלָיו אֶת הַכִּיּוֹר וְאֶת כַּנּוֹ
Et mizbaj hanejoshet veet mijbar hanejoshet asher lo et badav veet kol kelav et hakiyor veet kano.
The bronze altar with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the basin with its stand.
39:40
אֵת קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר אֶת עַמֻּדָיו וְאֶת אֲדָנָיו וְאֵת הַמָּסָךְ לְשַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר אֶת מֵיתָרָיו וִיתֵדֹתֶיהָ וְאֵת כָּל כְּלֵי עֲבֹדַת הַמִּשְׁכָּן לְאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד
Et kaley hejatzér et amudav veet adanav veet hamasaj leshaar hejatzér et meitarav veyetedoteha veet kol klei avodat hamishkan leOhel Moed.
The hangings of the courtyard, its pillars and bases, the curtain for the courtyard gate, its ropes and pegs, and all the equipment for the service of the Tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
39:41
אֶת בִּגְדֵי הַשְּׂרָד לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ אֶת בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן וְאֶת בִּגְדֵי בָנָיו לְכַהֵן
Et bigdei haserad lesharet bakodesh et bigdei hakodesh leAharon hakohen veet bigdei banav lejahen.
The finely woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for serving as priests.
39:42
כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵת כָּל הָעֲבֹדָה
Kekhol asher tziva Adonai et Moshe ken asu bene Yisrael et kol haavoda.
The children of Israel had done all the work exactly as the Eternal commanded Moses.
39:43
וַיַּרְא מֹשֶׁה אֶת כָּל הַמְּלָאכָה וְהִנֵּה עָשׂוּ אֹתָהּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְיָ כֵּן עָשׂוּ וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם מֹשֶׁה
Vayar Moshe et kol hamelaja vehine asu otah ka'asher tziva Adonai ken asu; vayevarej otam Moshe.
Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it just as the Eternal commanded; so they had done it. Then Moses blessed them.
40:1
וַיְדַבֵּר יְיָ אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר
Vayedaber Adonai el Moshe lemor.
Then the Eternal spoke to Moses, saying:
40:2
בְּיוֹם הַחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ תָּקִים אֶת־מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד
Beyom hachodesh harishon beejad lachodesh takim et mishkan ohel moed.
On the first day of the first month you shall set up the Tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
40:3
וְשַׂמְתָּ שָׁם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָעֵדוּת וְסַכֹּתָ עַל־הָאָרֹן אֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת
Vesamta sham et aron haedut vesakota al haaron et haparochet.
You shall place there the Ark of the Testimony, and you shall screen the Ark with the veil.
40:4
וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְעָרַכְתָּ אֶת־עֶרְכּוֹ וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה וְהַעֲלֵיתָ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ
Vehevetá et hashuljan vearajta et erko vehevetá et hamenorá vehaaleta et neroteha.
You shall bring in the table and arrange its setting, and you shall bring in the lampstand and light its lamps.
40:5
וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב לִקְטֹרֶת לִפְנֵי אֲרוֹן הָעֵדוּת וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח לַמִּשְׁכָּן
Venatata et mizbaj hazahav liktoret lifnei aron haedut vesamta et masaj hapetaj lamishkan.
You shall set the golden altar for incense before the Ark of the Testimony, and place the screen at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
40:6
וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה לִפְנֵי פֶּתַח מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד
Venatata et mizbaj haolah lifnei petaj mishkan ohel moed.
You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the entrance of the Tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
40:7
וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר בֵּין אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְנָתַתָּ שָׁמָּה מָיִם
Venatata et hakior bein ohel moed uvein hamizbeaj venatata shama mayim.
You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
40:8
וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר
Vesamta et hejatzer saviv venatata et masaj shaar hejatzer.
You shall set up the courtyard around it and hang the screen at the gate of the courtyard.
40:9
וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת־שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְהָיָה קֹדֶשׁ
Velakajta et shemen hamishja umashajta et hamishkan veet kol asher bo vekidashta oto veet kol kelav vehaya kodesh.
Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the Tabernacle and all that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.
40:10
וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְהָיָה הַמִּזְבֵּחַ קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים
Umashajta et mizbaj haolah veet kol kelav vekidashta et hamizbeaj vehaya hamizbeaj kodesh kodashim.
You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils and consecrate the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
40:11
וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר וְאֶת־כַּנּוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ
Umashajta et hakior veet kano vekidashta oto.
You shall anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate it.
40:12
וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת־בָּנָיו אֶל־פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְרָחַצְתָּ אֹתָם בַּמָּיִם
Vehikravta et Aharon veet banav el petaj ohel moed verajatzta otam bamayim.
Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
40:13
וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן אֵת בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ וְכִהֵן לִי
Vehilbashta et Aharon et bigdei hakodesh umashajta oto vekidashta oto vekihen li.
You shall clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him and consecrate him so that he may serve Me as priest.
40:14
וְאֶת־בָּנָיו תַּקְרִיב וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם כֻּתֹּנֹת
Veet banav takriv vehilbashta otam kutonot.
You shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics.
40:15
וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתָם כַּאֲשֶׁר מָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־אֲבִיהֶם וְכִהֲנוּ לִי וְהָיְתָה לִהְיוֹת לָהֶם מָשְׁחָתָם לִכְהֻנַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתָם
Umashajta otam kaasher mashajta et avihem vekihanu li vehayeta lihyot lahem mashjatam likhunat olam ledorotam.
You shall anoint them as you anointed their father so that they may serve Me as priests; their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
40:34
וַיְכַס הֶעָנָן אֶת־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּכְבוֹד יְיָ מָלֵא אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן
Vayejas heanan et ohel moed ukevód Adonai malé et hamishkan.
Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Eternal filled the Tabernacle.
40:35
וְלֹא־יָכֹל מֹשֶׁה לָבוֹא אֶל־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד כִּי־שָׁכַן עָלָיו הֶעָנָן וּכְבוֹד יְיָ מָלֵא אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן
Velo yajol Moshe lavo el ohel moed ki shajan alav heanan ukevód Adonai malé et hamishkan.
Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud rested upon it and the glory of the Eternal filled the Tabernacle.
40:36
וּבְהֵעָלוֹת הֶעָנָן מֵעַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכֹל מַסְעֵיהֶם
Uvehaalot heanan meal hamishkan yiseu bene Yisrael bejol maseihem.
Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tabernacle, the children of Israel would set out on all their journeys.
40:37
וְאִם־לֹא יֵעָלֶה הֶעָנָן וְלֹא יִסְעוּ עַד־יוֹם הֵעָלֹתוֹ
Veim lo yeale heanan velo yiseu ad yom healoto.
But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey until the day it was taken up.
40:38
כִּי עֲנַן יְיָ עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן יוֹמָם וְאֵשׁ תִּהְיֶה לַיְלָה בּוֹ לְעֵינֵי כָל־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכָל־מַסְעֵיהֶם
Ki anan Adonai al hamishkan yomam veesh tihye layla bo leenei kol beit Yisrael bejol maseihem.
For the cloud of the Eternal was upon the Tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.
