Ha-yám ra-áh va-ya-nós; ha-Yar-dén yi-sóv le-a-khór. | The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back.
He-ha-rím ra-ke-dú khe-e-lím; ge-va-ót ke-v-néi tzon. | The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
Mah le-kha ha-yám ki ta-nús; ha-Yar-dén ti-sóv le-a-khór. | What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?
He-ha-rím tir-ke-dú khe-e-lím; ge-va-ót ke-v-néi tzon. | O mountains, that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?
| Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
| Who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.
