| 1 | שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת זְכוֹר־יְהוָה לְדָוִד אֵת כָּל־עֻנּוֹתוֹ | Shír ha-ma-a-lót. Zekhór Ado-nái le-Da-víd; ét kál un-nó-to. | A Song of Ascents. Remember, O the LORD, in David’s favor, all the hardships he endured. |
| 2 | אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַיהוָה נָדַר לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב | A-shér nish-ba‘ la-Ado-nái; na-dár le-a-vír Ya-a-kóv. | How he swore to the LORD and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob. |
| 3 | אִם־אָבֹא בְּאֹהֶל בֵּיתִי אִם־אֶעֱלֶה עַל־עֶרֶשׂ יְצוּעָי | Im a-vó be-o-hél béi-ti; im e-e-lé al e-rés ye-tzu-a-í. | I will not enter my house or get into my bed. |

| 5 | עַד־אֶמְצָא מָקוֹם לַיהוָה מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב | Ad em-tzá ma-kom la-Ado-nái; mish-ka-nót le-a-vír Ya-a-kóv. | Until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob. |
| 6 | הִנֵּה־שְׁמַעֲנוּהָ בְאֶפְרָתָה מְצָאנוּהָ בִּשְׂדֵי־יָעַר | Hin-néh she-ma-a-nu-há ve-Ef-rá-tah; me-tza-nu-há bi-se-déi ya-ar. | Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar. |
| 7 | נָבוֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו נִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָיו | Na-vo-a‘ le-mish-ka-no-táv; nish-ta-kha-véh la-ha-dóm rag-láv. | Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool! |
| 8 | קוּמָה יְהוָה לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ | Kú-mah Ado-nái li-me-nu-kha-te-kha; at-táh va-a-rón u-ze-kha. | Arise, O the LORD, and go to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your might. |
| 9 | כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶדֶק וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ | Ko-ha-ne-kha yil-be-shú tze-dék; va-kha-si-de-kha ye-ra-ne-nú. | Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy. |
| 10 | בַּעֲבוּר דָּוִד עַבְדֶּךָ אַל־תָּשֵׁב פְּנֵי מְשִׁיחֶךָ | Ba-a-vúr Da-víd av-de-kha; al ta-shév p-néi me-shi-khe-kha. | For the sake of Your servant David, do not turn away the face of Your anointed one. |
| 11 | נִשְׁבַּע־יְהוָה לְדָוִד אֱמֶת לֹא־יָשׁוּב מִמֶּנָּה מִפְּרִי בִטְנְךָ אָשִׁית לְכִסֵּא־לָךְ | Nish-ba‘ Ado-nái le-Da-víd e-mét; lo ya-shúv mim-mé-nah; mi-pe-rí vit-ne-kha a-shít le-khis-e-kha. | The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which He will not turn back: ‘One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne. |
| 12 | אִם־יִשְׁמְרוּ בָנֶיךָ בְּרִיתִי וְעֵדֹתִי זוֹ אֲלַמְּדֵם גַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם עֲדֵי־עַד יֵשְׁבוּ לְכִסֵּא־לָךְ | Im yish-me-rú va-ne-kha be-ri-tí; ve-e-do-tí zo zu-lam-me-dém; gam be-ne-hém a-de-í-ad ye-she-vú le-khis-e-kha. | If your sons keep My covenant and My testimonies that I shall teach them, their sons also forever shall sit on your throne.’ |
| 13 | כִּי־בָחַר יְהוָה בְּצִיּוֹן אִוָּהּ לְמוֹשָׁב לוֹ | Ki va-khaár Ado-nái be-Tzi-yón; i-váh le-mo-sháv ló. | For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place. |
| 14 | זֹאת־מְנוּחָתִי עֲדֵי־עַד פֹּה־אֵשֵׁב כִּי אִוִּתִיהָ | Zo’t me-nu-kha-tí a-de-í-ad; pó e-shév ki i-vití-ha. | This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it. |
| 15 | צֵידָהּ בָּרֵךְ אֲבָרֵךְ אֶבְיוֹנֶיהָ אַשְׂבִּיעַ לָחֶם | Tzi-dáh ba-rékh a-va-rékh; ev-yo-ne-há as-bí-a lé-khem. | I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread. |
| 16 | וְכֹהֲנֶיהָ אַלְבִּישׁ יֶשַׁע וַחֲסִידֶיהָ רַנֵּן יְרַנֵּנוּ | Ve-ko-ha-ne-há al-bísh ye-shá‘; va-kha-si-de-há ra-nén ye-ra-ne-nú. | Her priests I will clothe with salvation, and her saints will shout for joy. |
| 17 | שָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִי | Shám atz-mí-akh ké-ren le-Da-víd; a-rakh-tí nér li-me-shi-khí. | There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed. |
| 18 | אוֹיְבָיו אַלְבִּישׁ בֹּשֶׁת וְעָלָיו יָצִיץ נִזְרוֹ | Oy-váv al-bísh bó-shet; ve-a-láv ya-tzítz niz-ró. | His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his crown will shine. |
