| 2 | יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם | Yis-maákh Yis-ra-él be-o-sáv; be-néi Tzi-yón ya-gí-lu ve-mal-kám. | Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! |
| 3 | יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ | Ye-ha-le-lú sh-mó be-ma-khól; be-tof ve-khin-nór ye-zam-me-rú-lo. | Let them praise His name with dancing, making melody to Him with tambourine and lyre! |
| 4 | כִּי־רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה | Ki ro-tséh Ado-nái be-am-mó; ye-fa-er a-na-vím bi-shu-a-áh. | For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the humble with salvation. |
| 5 | יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם | Ya-a-le-zú kha-si-dím be-kha-vód; ye-ra-ne-nú al mish-ke-vo-tám. | Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. |
| 6 | רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָם | Ro-me-mót E-l bi-ge-ro-nám; ve-khé-rev pi-fi-yót be-ya-dám. | Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands. |
| 7 | לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּים | La-a-sót ne-ka-máh ba-go-yím; to-khe-khót ba-le-um-mím. | To execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples. |
| 8 | לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל | Li-e-sór mal-khé-hem be-zik-kím; ve-nik-be-de-hém be-khav-le-var-zél. | To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron. |
| 9 | לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ | La-a-sót ba-hém mish-pát ka-túv; ha-dár hu le-khál kha-si-dáv; ha-le-lu-yáh. | To execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all His godly ones. Hallelujah! |
