מִכְתָּם לְדָוִד שָׁמְרֵנִי אֵל כִּי־חָסִיתִי בָךְ |
Mikhtám leDavid, shomréni El ki-khasíti vakh. |
A michtam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge. |

אָמַרְתְּ לַיהוה אֲדֹנָי אָתָּה טוֹבָתִי בַּל־עָלֶיךָ |
Amárt laAdonai, Adonái áttah, tovatí bal-’alékha. |
I have said to Adonai: You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You. |

לִקְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה וְאַדִּירֵי כָּל־חֶפְצִי־בָם |
Liqdoshím ashér-ba’árets hémah, ve’addiréi kol-kheftsí-vam. |
As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble ones in whom is all my delight. |

יִרְבּוּ עַצְּבוֹתָם אַחֵר מָהָרוּ בַּל־אַסִּיךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶם מִדָּם וּבַל־אֶשָּׂא אֶת־שְׁמוֹתָם עַל־שְׂפָתָי |
Yirbú ’atsevotám akhér maháru, bal-assíkh niskéhem middám, uval-essá et-shemotám ’al-sefatáy. |
The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; I will not pour out their libations of blood, nor take their names upon my lips. |

יהוה מְנָת־חֶלְקִי וְכוֹסִי אַתָּה תּוֹמִיךְ גּוֹרָלִי |
Adonai menát-khelqí vekhosí, áttah tomíkh goralí. |
Adonai is my portion and my cup; You uphold my lot. |

חֲבָלִים נָפְלוּ־לִי בַּנְּעִימִים אַף־נַחֲלָת שָׁפְרָה עָלָי |
Khavalím nafelú-li banne’imím, af-nakhalát shaferáh ’aláy. |
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me. |

אֲבָרֵךְ אֶת־יהוה אֲשֶׁר יְעָצָנִי אַף־לֵילוֹת יִסְּרוּנִי כִלְיוֹתָי |
Avarékh et-Adonai ashér ye’atsáni, af-leilót yisserúni khilyotáy. |
I will bless Adonai who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me. |

שִׁוִּיתִי יהוה לְנֶגְדִּי תָמִיד כִּי מִימִינִי בַּל־אֶמּוֹט |
Shivvíti Adonai lenegdí tamíd, ki miminí bal-emmót. |
I have set Adonai always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |

לָכֵן שָׂמַח לִבִּי וַיָּגֶל כְּבוֹדִי אַף־בְּשָׂרִי יִשְׁכֹּן לָבֶטַח |
Lakhén samákh libbí vayáguel kevodí, af-besarí yishkón lavétakh. |
Therefore my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells in safety. |

כִּי לֹא־תַעֲזֹב נַפְשִׁי לִשְׁאוֹל לֹא־תִתֵּן חֲסִידְךָ לִרְאוֹת שָׁחַת |
Ki lo-ta’azón nafshí lish’ól, lo-tittén khasídkha lir’ót shákhat. |
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor let Your faithful one see the pit. |

תּוֹדִיעֵנִי אֹרַח חַיִּים שֹׂבַע שְׂמָחוֹת אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ נְעִמוֹת בִּימִינְךָ נֶצַח |
Todi’éni órakh khayyím, sóva’ semakhót et-panékha, ne’imót biminkhá nétsakh. |
You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. |
