| 2 | אֱלֹהִים לָנוּ מַחֲסֶה וָעֹז עֶזְרָה בְצָרוֹת נִמְצָא מְאֹד | E-lo-hím lá-nu makh-séh va-óz; ez-ráh ve-tza-rót nim-tzá me-ód. | God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. |
| 3 | עַל־כֵּן לֹא־נִירָא בְּהָמִיר אָרֶץ וּבְמוֹט הָרִים בְּלֵב יַמִּים | Al kén lo ni-rá be-ha-mír a-réts; u-ve-mot harím be-lév ya-m-mím. | Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea. |
| 4 | יֶהֱמוּ יֶחְמְרוּ מֵימָיו יִרְעֲשׁוּ־הָרִים בְּגַאֲוָתוֹ סֶלָה | Yeh-e-mú yekh-me-rú me-méi-av; yir-a-ashú harím be-ga-a-va-tó. Sé-lah. | Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah. |
| 5 | נָהָר פְּלָגָיו יְשַׂמְּחוּ עִיר־אֱלֹהִים קְדֹשׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵי עֶלְיוֹן | Na-hár pe-lá-gav ye-sa-me-khú ír E-lo-hím; ke-dosh mish-kan el-yón. | There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. |
| 6 | אֱלֹהִים בְּקִרְבָּהּ בַּל־תִּמּוֹט יַעְזְרֶהָ אֱלֹהִים לִפְנוֹת בֹּקֶר | E-lo-hím be-kir-báh bal ti-mót; ya-a-ze-ré-ha E-lo-hím li-fe-nót bó-ker. | God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. |
| 7 | הָמוּ גוֹיִם מָטוּ מַמְלָכוֹת נָתַן בְּקוֹלוֹ תָּמוּג אָרֶץ | Ha-mú go-yím ma-tú mam-la-khót; na-tán be-kó-lo ta-múg a-réts. | The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. |
| 8 | יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת עִמָּנוּ מִשְׂגָּב־לָנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב סֶלָה | Ado-nái tze-va-ót im-má-nu; mis-gáv lá-nu E-lo-héi Ya-a-kóv. Sé-lah. | The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah. |
| 9 | לְכוּ־חֲזוּ מִפְעֲלוֹת יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר־שָׂם שַׁמּוֹת בָּאָרֶץ | Le-khú kha-zú mif-a-lót Ado-nái; a-shér sam she-ma-mót ba-á-rets. | Come, behold the works of the LORD, how He has brought desolations on the earth. |
| 10 | מַשְׁבִּית מִלְחָמוֹת עַד־קְצֵה הָאָרֶץ קֶשֶׁת יְשַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּץ חֲנִית עֲגָלוֹת יִשְׂרֹף בָּאֵשׁ | Mash-bít mil-kha-mót ad ke-tzéh ha-á-rets; ka-shét ye-shab-bér ve-ki-tzétz kha-nít; a-ga-lót yis-róf ba-ésh. | He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. |
| 11 | הַרְפּוּ וּדְעוּ כִּי־אָנֹכִי אֱלֹהִים אָרוּם בַּגּוֹיִם אָרוּם בָּאָרֶץ | Har-pú u-de-ú ki a-nó-khi E-lo-hím; a-rúm ba-go-yím a-rúm ba-á-rets. | ‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!’ |
