Lamnatzeakh el-hannekhilot, mizmor leDavid. |
For the leader, for the flutes. A psalm of David. |
| 2 |
Amarai ha’azinah Adonai, binah hagigí. |
Give ear to my words, O Adonai; consider my meditation. |
| 3 |
Hakshivah lekol shav’í, Malkí veElohai, ki-elekha etpalal. |
Hearken to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray. |
| 4 |
Adonai, boker tishmá kolí; boker e’erakh-lekhá va’atzapé. |
O Adonai, in the morning You hear my voice; in the morning I set my prayer before You, and I wait. |
| 5 |
Ki lo El khafetz resha atah; lo yegurkhá ra. |
For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil cannot dwell with You. |
| 6 |
Lo-yityatzevú holelim leneged einekha; saneta kol-poaléi aven. |
The boastful cannot stand before Your eyes; You hate all workers of iniquity. |
| 7 |
Te’abed doverei khazav; ish-damim umirmah yeta’ev Adonai. |
You destroy those who speak falsehood; Adonai abhors the man of blood and deceit. |
| 8 |
Vaaní berov khasdekha avo vetekha; eshtakhavéh el-hekhal kodshekha beyir’atekha. |
But I, through Your abundant kindness, will come into Your house; I will bow toward Your holy temple in awe of You. |
| 9 |
Adonai, nekhení vetzidkatekha lemaan shorerai; hayshar lefanai darkekha. |
Lead me, O Adonai, in Your righteousness because of my watchful foes; make Your way straight before me. |
| 10 |
Ki ein befihu nekhonah; kirbam havvot; kever-patuakh geronam; leshonam yakhalikun. |
For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their inward part is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue. |
| 11 |
Ha’ashimem Elohim; yipelú mimoatzoteihem; berov pisheihem haddikhemo, ki-marú vakh. |
Hold them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out for their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against You. |
| 12 |
Veyismekhú kol-khosei vakh; leolam yeranénu; vetasekh aleimo; veya’letzú vekha ohavéi shemekha. |
But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may exult in You. |
| 13 |
Ki-atah tevarekh tzadik Adonai; katzinah ratzon ta’terénu. |
For You, O Adonai, bless the righteous; You surround him with favor as with a shield. |
