| 1 | לַמְנַצֵּחַ מַשְׂכִּיל לְדָוִד | La-me-nat-tsé-akh maskíl le-Da-víd. Be-vo Do-ég ha-E-do-mí va-yag-géd le-Sha-úl va-yó-mer ló: bá Da-víd el béit A-khi-mé-lekh. | To the Chief Musician. A Maskil of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, ‘David has come to the house of Ahimelech.’ |
| 2 | בְּבוֹא דּוֹאֵג הָאֲדֹמִי וַיַּגֵּד לְשָׁאוּל וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ בָּא דָוִד אֶל־בֵּית אֲחִימֶלֶךְ | Mah tit-hal-lél be-ra-áh ha-gi-bór? Khé-sed E-lo-hím kál ha-yóm. | Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day. |
| 3 | מַה־תִּתְהַלֵּל בְּרָעָה הַגִּבּוֹר חֶסֶד אֵל כָּל־הַיּוֹם | Ha-v-vót takh-shóv le-sho-né-kha; ke-ta-ár mil-lu-láh o-séh re-mi-yáh. | Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit. |
| 4 | הַוּוֹת תַּחְשֹׁב לְשׁוֹנֶךָ כְּתַעַר מְלֻטָּשׁ עֹשֵׂה רְמִיָּה | A-háv-ta rá mi-tóv; shé-ker mi-dab-bér tze-dék. Sé-lah. | You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah. |
| 5 | אָהַבְתָּ רָּע מִטּוֹב שֶׁקֶר מִדַּבֵּר צֶדֶק סֶלָה | A-háv-ta kál div-réi vá-la; le-shón mir-máh. | You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue. |
| 6 | אָהַבְתָּ כָל־דִּבְרֵי־בָלַע לְשׁוֹן מִרְמָה | Gam E-lo-hím yit-tzé-kha la-né-tzakh; yakh-te-khá ve-yis-pe-khá me-ó-hel; ve-she-ré-kha me-é-rets kha-y-yím. Sé-lah. | But God will break you down forever; He will snatch and tear you from your tent; He will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah. |
| 7 | גַּם־אֵל יִתָּצְךָ לָנֶצַח יַחְתְּךָ וְיִסָּחֲךָ מֵאֹהֶל וְשֵׁרֶשְׁךָ מֵאֶרֶץ חַיִּים סֶלָה | Ve-yir-ú tzad-dí-kim ve-yi-rá-u; ve-a-láv yis-kha-kú. | The righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him. |
| 8 | וְיִרְאוּ צַדִּיקִים וְיִירָאוּ וְעָלָיו יִשְׂחָקוּ | Hin-néh ha-gé-ver lo ya-sím E-lo-hím ma-oz-zó; va-yiv-tákh be-róv osh-ró; ya-óz be-ha-v-v-a-tó. | ‘See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!’ |
| 9 | הִנֵּה הַגֶּבֶר לֹא יָשִׂים אֱלֹהִים מָעוּזּוֹ וַיִּבְטַח בְּרֹב עָשְׁרוֹ יָעֹז בְּהַוָּתוֹ | Va-a-ní ke-zé-yit ra-a-nán be-véit E-lo-hím; ba-tákh-ti be-khé-sed E-lo-hím o-lám va-éd. | But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. |
| 10 | וַאֲנִי כְּזַיִת רַעֲנָן בְּבֵית אֱלֹהִים בָּטַחְתִּי בְחֶסֶד־אֱלֹהִים עוֹלָם וָעֶד | O-de-khá le-o-lám ki a-sí-ta; va-a-kha-léh shim-khá ki tóv ne-géd kha-si-dé-kha. | I will thank You forever, because You have done it. I will wait for Your name, for it is good, in the presence of the godly. |
| 11 | אוֹדְךָ לְעוֹלָם כִּי עָשִׂיתָ וַאֲקַוֶּה שִׁמְךָ כִי־טוֹב נֶגֶד חֲסִידֶיךָ | O-de-kha le-o-lám ki a-sí-ta; va-a-ka-véh shim-kha ki tóv ne-géd kha-si-de-kha. | I will thank You forever, because You have done it. I will wait for Your name, for it is good, in the presence of the godly. |
