Lamnatzeakh binguinot al-hasheminit, mizmor leDavid. For the leader, with stringed instruments, upon the Sheminith. A psalm of David.
Adonai al-be’apekhe tokhikheni, veal-bakhamatekhe teyasreni. O Adonai, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your wrath.
Khoneni Adonai ki umlal áni, refa’éni Adonai ki nivhalú atsamáy. Be gracious to me, O Adonai, for I am weak; heal me, O Adonai, for my bones are dismayed.
Venafshí nivhaláh me’ód, ve’atá Adonai ad-matáy. My soul also is greatly dismayed; and You, O Adonai, how long?
Shuváh Adonai khaltsáh nafshí, hoshi’éni lemá’an khasdékha. Return, O Adonai, deliver my soul; save me for the sake of Your kindness.
For in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol who will give You thanks?
Yagá’ti be’ankhatí, askhkheh vekhol-laylah mitatí, bedim’atí arsí amseh. I am weary with my groaning; every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears.
Ashesháh mika’as einí, atkáh bekhol-tsoreráy. My eye is wasted from grief; it grows old because of all my foes.
Súru miméni kol-pó’alei áven, ki-shamá Adonai kol bikhyí. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Adonai has heard the sound of my weeping.
Shamá Adonai tkhinatí, Adonai tefilatí yikákh. Adonai has heard my supplication; Adonai receives my prayer.
Yevóshu veyivahalú me’ód kol-oyeváy, yashúvu yevóshu rág’a. All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly dismayed; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.
