La-me-nat-tsé-akh al sho-sh-an-ním le-Da-víd. To the Chief Musician. According to Lilies. Of David.
Ho-shi-é-ni E-lo-hím ki vá-u ma-yím ad ná-fesh. Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.
I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me.
Ya-gá‘-ti be-kar-í-i; nikh-ar go-ro-ní; ka-lú e-nái me-ya-khél le-E-lo-hái. I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.
More in number than the hairs of my head are those who hate me without cause; mighty are those who would destroy me, those who attack me with lies. What I did not steal must I now restore?
E-lo-hím at-táh ya-dá-aá le-iv-va-la-tí; ve-ash-mo-tái mim-me-khá lo nikh-la-rú. O God, You know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from You.
Let not those who hope in You be put to shame through me, O LORD the LORD of hosts; let not those who seek You be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.
Ki a-le-khá na-sá-ti kher-páh; ki-su-t khe-lim-máh pa-nái. For it is for Your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face.
Mu-zár ha-yí-ti le-e-kh-ái; ve-nokh-rí li-v-néi im-mí. I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s sons.
Ki kin-át béit-kha a-kha-lat-ní; ve-kher-pót kho-re-pe-khá na-pe-lú a-lái. For zeal for Your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
Va-ev-keh ba-tzom naf-shí; va-te-hí le-kha-ra-pót lí. When I wept and humbled my soul with fasting, it became my reproach.
Va-e-te-náh le-vushí sáq; va-e-hí la-hém le-ma-shál. When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
Ya-sí-khu ví yo-she-véi shá-ar; un-gí-not sho-téi shé-khar. I am the talk of those who sit in the gate, and the drunkards make songs about me.
But as for me, my prayer is to You, O the LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of Your steadfast love answer me in Your saving faithfulness.
Hatz-tzi-lé-ni mi-tít ve-al e-tav-bá‘; e-na-tze-láh mi-son-a-ái u-mi-ma-a-ma-kéi ma-yím. Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters.
Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me.
Answer me, O the LORD, for Your steadfast love is good; according to Your abundant mercy, turn to me.
Ve-al tas-tér pa-ne-khá me-av-de-khá; ki tza-r-lí ma-hér a-né-ni. Hide not Your face from Your servant, for I am in distress; make haste to answer me.
Kor-váh el naf-shí ge-a-láh; le-ma-an oy-ve-ái fe-dé-ni. Draw near to my soul, redeem it; ransom me because of my enemies!
At-táh ya-dá-aá kher-pa-tí; u-vosh-tí u-khe-lim-ma-tí; neg-de-khá kál tzo-re-rái. You know my reproach, and my shame and my dishonor; my foes are all known to You.
Reproach has broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.
Va-yi-te-nú ve-ro-shí ma-a-khál; u-litz-ma-í yash-kú-ni khó-metz. They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink.
Ye-hí shul-kha-nám lif-ne-hém le-fákh; u-lish-la-mím le-mokésh. Let their own table before them become a snare; and when they are at peace, let it become a trap.
Te-khash-akk-náh e-ne-hém mi-re-ót; ve-mot-ne-hém ta-míd ha-a-mad. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see, and make their loins tremble continually.
Shefókh a-le-hém za-a-me-khá; va-kha-rón ap-pe-khá yas-si-ge-hém. Pour out Your indignation upon them, and let Your burning anger overtake them.
Te-hí-ye tirá-tam ne-sha-máh; be-o-ha-le-hém al ye-hí yo-shév. May their camp be a desolation; let no one dwell in their tents.
Ki at-táh a-shér hi-kí-ta ra-dá-fu; ve-el makh-ov che-la-le-khá ye-sap-pe-rú. For they persecute him whom You have struck down, and they recount the pain of those You have wounded.
Te-náh a-vón al a-vo-nám; ve-al ya-vo-ú bi-tzid-ka-te-khá. Add to them punishment upon punishment; may they have no acquittal from You.
Yim-me-khú mi-sé-fer kha-y-yím; u-vim tza-di-kím al yi-ka-te-vú. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous.
Va-a-ní a-ní ve-kho-eáv; ye-su-ge-vé-ni yish-akha E-lo-hím. But I am afflicted and in pain; let Your salvation, O God, set me on high!
A-ha-le-láh shem E-lo-hím be-shír; va-a-ga-de-lé-nu ve-to-dáh. I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
Ve-ti-tab le-Ado-nái mi-shór pár mi-kha-r-ním maf-rís. This will please the LORD more than an ox or a bull with horns and hoofs.
Ra-ú-u a-na-vím yis-me-khú; do-re-shéi E-lo-hím vi-khi ye-va-ve-khém. When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive.
Ki sho-mé-a el ev-yo-ním Ado-nái; ve-et a-si-ráv lo va-záh. For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise His own people who are prisoners.
Ye-ha-le-lú-hu sha-má-yim va-á-rets; yam-mím ve-khál ro-mes bám. Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them.
Ki E-lo-hím yo-shí-a Tzi-yón; u-yiv-néh a-réi Ye-hu-dáh; ve-ya-she-vú shám ve-yi-re-shú-ha. For God will save Zion and build up the cities of Judah, and people shall dwell there and possess it.
Ve-zé-ra a-va-dáv yin-kha-lu-há; ve-o-ha-véi she-mó yish-ke-nú-váh. The offspring of His servants shall inherit it; those who love His name shall dwell in it.
