1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינֹת מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף שִׁיר La-me-nat-tsé-akh bin-gi-nót miz-mór le-A-sáf shír. To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
2 נוֹדָע בִּיהוּדָה אֱלֹהִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גָּדוֹל שְׁמוֹ No-dá‘ bi-Ye-hu-dáh E-lo-hím; be-Yis-ra-él ga-dól she-mó. In Judah God is known; His name is great in Israel.
3 וַיְהִי בְשָׁלֵם סֻכּוֹ וּמְעוֹנָתוֹ בְצִיּוֹן Va-ye-hí be-Sha-lém suk-kóh; u-me-o-na-tó be-Tzi-yón. His abode has been established in Salem, His dwelling place in Zion.
4 שָׁמָּה שִׁבַּר רִשְׁפֵי־קָשֶׁת מָגֵן וְחֶרֶב וּמִלְחָמָה סֶלָה Shám shi-b-bár rish-péi ké-shet; ma-gén ve-khe-rév u-mil-kha-máh. Sé-lah. There He broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.
5 נָאוֹר אַתָּה אַדִּיר מֵהַרְרֵי־טָרֶף Na-ór at-táh a-dir mi-har-réi té-ref. Glorious are You, more majestic than the mountains full of prey.
6 אֶשְׁתּוֹלְלוּ אַבִּירֵי לֵב נָמוּ שְׁנָתָם וְלֹא־מָצְאוּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַיִל יְדֵיהֶם Ash-to-le-lú a-b-bí-rei lév; na-mú she-na-tám; ve-lo ma-tz-eú kál an-shéi kha-yíl ye-de-hém. The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands.
7 מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב נִרְדָּם וְרֶכֶב וָסוּס Mi-ge-a-ra-te-khá E-lo-héi Ya-a-kóv; nir-dám ve-ré-khev va-sús. At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned.
8 אַתָּה נוֹרָא אַתָּה וּמִי־יַעֲמֹד לְפָנֶיךָ מֵאָז אַפֶּךָ At-táh no-rá at-táh; u-mi ya-a-mód le-fa-ne-khá me-az ap-pe-khá. But You, You are to be feared! Who can stand before You when once Your anger is roused?
9 מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַעְתָּ דִּין אֶרֶץ יָרְאָה וְשָׁקָטָה Mi-sha-má-yim hish-ma‘-tá dín; e-rétz ya-re-áh ve-sha-ka-táh. From the heavens You uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still.
10 בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּט אֱלֹהִים לְהוֹשִׁיעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶרֶץ סֶלָה Be-kúm la-mish-pát ha-E-lo-hím; le-ho-shí-a kál a-na-véi e-rétz. Sé-lah. When God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah.
11 כִּי־חֲמַת אָדָם תּוֹדֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּר Ki kha-mat a-dám to-de-ká; she-e-rít kha-mót takh-gór. Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; the remnant of wrath You will put on like a belt.
12 נִדֲרוּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־סְבִיבָיו יוֹבִילוּ שַׁי לַמּוֹרָא Nid-rú ve-shal-le-mú la-Ado-nái E-lo-he-khém; kál se-vi-váv yo-ví-lu shái la-mo-rá. Make your vows to the LORD your God and perform them; let all around Him bring gifts to Him who is to be feared.
13 יִבְצֹר רוּחַ נְגִידִים נוֹרָא לְמַלְכֵי־אָרֶץ Yiv-tzór rú-akh ne-gi-dím; no-rá le-mal-khéi e-rétz. Who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth.
