Exodus - Chapter 11

11:1

God said to Moses, 'There is one more plague that I will send against Pharaoh and Egypt. After that, he will let you leave this place. When he lets you leave, he will actually drive you out of here. 
Vayomer Adonay el-Moshe od nega echad avi al-Par'oh ve'al-Mitsrayim acharey-chen yeshalach etchem mizeh keshalecho kalah garesh yegaresh etchem mizeh.

אוַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶל־משֶׁ֗ה ע֣וֹד נֶ֤גַע אֶחָד֙ אָבִ֤יא עַל־פַּרְעֹה֙ וְעַל־מִצְרַ֔יִם אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֕ן יְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּ֑ה כְּשַׁ֨לְּח֔וֹ כָּלָ֕ה גָּרֵ֛שׁ יְגָרֵ֥שׁ אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּֽה:

11:2

Now speak to the people discreetly, and let each man requestfrom his friend gold and silver articles. Let every woman make [the same] request of her friends. ' 
Daber-na be'ozney ha'am veyish'alu ish me'et re'ehu ve'ishah me'et re'utah kley-chesef ucheley-zahav.

בדַּבֶּר־נָ֖א בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וְיִשְׁאֲל֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ | מֵאֵ֣ת רֵעֵ֗הוּ וְאִשָּׁה֙ מֵאֵ֣ת רְעוּתָ֔הּ כְּלֵי־כֶ֖סֶף וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָֽב:

11:3

God gave the people status among the Egyptians. Moses was also very highly respected in Egypt, both by Pharaoh's officials and by the people. 
Vayiten Adonay et-chen ha'am be'eyney Mitsrayim gam ha'ish mosheh gadol me'od be'erets Mitsrayim be'eyney avdey-Far'oh uve'eyney ha'am.

גוַיִּתֵּ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת־חֵ֥ן הָעָ֖ם בְּעֵינֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם גַּ֣ם | הָאִ֣ישׁ משֶׁ֗ה גָּד֤וֹל מְאֹד֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּעֵינֵ֥י עַבְדֵֽי־פַרְעֹ֖ה וּבְעֵינֵ֥י הָעָֽם:

11:4

Fourth Reading
Moses said [to Pharaoh] in God's name, 'Around midnight, I will go out in the midst of Egypt. 
Vayomer Moshe koh amar Adonay kachatsot halaylah ani yotse betoch Mitsrayim.

דוַיֹּ֣אמֶר משֶׁ֔ה כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה כַּֽחֲצֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה אֲנִ֥י יוֹצֵ֖א בְּת֥וֹךְ מִצְרָֽיִם:

11:5

Every first-born in Egypt will die, from the first-born of Pharaoh sitting on his throne, to the first-born of the slave girl behind the millstones. Every first-born animal [will also die]. 
Umet kol-bechor be'erets Mitsrayim mibechor Par'oh hayoshev al-kis'o ad bechor hashifchah asher achar harechayim vechol bechor behemah.

הוּמֵ֣ת כָּל־בְּכוֹר֘ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ מִבְּכ֤וֹר פַּרְעֹה֙ הַיּשֵׁ֣ב עַל־כִּסְא֔וֹ עַ֚ד בְּכ֣וֹר הַשִּׁפְחָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר אַחַ֣ר הָֽרֵחָ֑יִם וְכֹ֖ל בְּכ֥וֹר בְּהֵמָֽה:

11:6

'There will be a great cry of anguish throughout all Egypt. Never before has there been anything like it, and never again will there be the like. 
Vehayetah tse'akah gedolah bechol-erets Mitsrayim asher kamohu lo nihyatah vechamohu lo tosif.

ווְהָֽיְתָ֛ה צְעָקָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּמֹ֨הוּ֙ לֹ֣א נִֽהְיָ֔תָה וְכָמֹ֖הוּ לֹ֥א תֹסִֽף:

11:7

But among the Israelites, a dog will not even whine because of man or beast. You will then realize that God is making a miraculous distinction between Egypt and Israel. 
Ulechol beney Yisra'el lo yecherats-kelev leshono leme'ish ve'ad-behemah lema'an ted'un asher yafleh Adonay beyn Mitsrayim uveyn Yisra'el.

זוּלְכֹ֣ל | בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לֹ֤א יֶֽחֱרַץ־כֶּ֨לֶב֙ לְשֹׁנ֔וֹ לְמֵאִ֖ישׁ וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֑ה לְמַ֨עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן אֲשֶׁר֙ יַפְלֶ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה בֵּ֥ין מִצְרַ֖יִם וּבֵ֥ין יִשְׂרָאֵֽל:

11:8

'All your officials here will come and bow down to me. They will say, 'Leave! You and all your followers!' Only then will I leave.' He left Pharaoh in great anger. 
Veyardu chol-avadeycha eleh elay vehishtachavu-li lemor tse atah vechol-ha'am asher-beragleycha ve'acharey-chen etse vayetse me'im-Par'oh bochori-af.

חוְיָֽרְד֣וּ כָל־עֲבָדֶ֩יךָ֩ אֵ֨לֶּה אֵלַ֜י וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲווּ־לִ֣י לֵאמֹ֗ר צֵ֤א אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־הָעָ֣ם אֲשֶׁר־בְּרַגְלֶ֔יךָ וְאַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֖ן אֵצֵ֑א וַיֵּצֵ֥א מֵֽעִם־פַּרְעֹ֖ה בָּֽחֳרִי־אָֽף:

11:9

God said to Moses, 'Pharaoh will not listen to you. This is so that I will be able to do all the more wonders in Egypt.' 
Vayomer Adonay el-Moshe lo-yishma aleychem Par'oh lema'an revot mofetay be'erets Mitsrayim.

טוַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל־משֶׁ֔ה לֹֽא־יִשְׁמַ֥ע אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה לְמַ֛עַן רְב֥וֹת מֽוֹפְתַ֖י בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם:

11:10

Moses and Aaron had done all these wonders before Pharaoh. Still, because God had made Pharaoh obstinate, he would not let the Israelites leave his land. 
UMoshe ve'Aharon asu et-kol-hamoftim ha'eleh lifney Far'oh vayechazek Adonay et-lev Par'oh velo-shilach et-beney-Yisra'el me'artso.

יוּמשֶׁ֣ה וְאַֽהֲרֹ֗ן עָשׂ֛וּ אֶת־כָּל־הַמֹּֽפְתִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹֽא־שִׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵֽאַרְצֽוֹ:
