Lamnatzeakh leDavid, amar navál belibbó ein Elohím, hishkhitú hit’ivú ’alílah, ein ’oséh-tov. |
For the leader. Of David. The fool says in his heart: there is no God. They are corrupt; their deeds are vile; there is none who does good. |

Adonai mishshamáyim hishqíf ’al-bené-adám, lir’ót hayésh maskíl dorshé et-Elohím. |
Adonai looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there is any who has understanding, who seeks God. |
| 3 |
Hakól sar yakhdáv ne’elakhú, ein ’oséh-tov ein gam-ekhád. |
They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. |
| 4 |
Haló yade’ú kol-po’aléi áven, okhlé ’ammí akhlú lékhem, Adonai lo qar’ú. |
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who devour my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon Adonai? |
| 5 |
Sham pakhadú pakhád, ki-Elohím bedór tsadík. |
There they were in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous. |
| 6 |
’Atsat-’aní tavíshu, ki Adonai makhsého. |
You would shame the counsel of the poor, but Adonai is his refuge. |
| 7 |
Mi yittén miTsiyyón yeshu’at Yisra’él, beshúv Adonai shevút ’ammó, yaguél Ya’aqóv yismákh Yisra’él. |
Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Adonai restores the fortunes of His people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad. |
