| 3 | נִכְסְפָה וְגַם־כָּלְתָה נַפְשִׁי לְחַצְרוֹת יְהוָה לִבִּי וּבְשָׂרִי יְרַנְּנוּ אֶל אֵל־חָי | Nikh-se-fáh ve-gam ka-le-táh naf-shí le-kha-tze-rót Ado-nái; lib-bí u-ve-sa-rí ye-ra-ne-nú el E-l khai. | My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. |
| 4 | גַּם־צִפּוֹר מָצְאָה בַיִת וּדְרוֹר קֵן לָהּ אֲשֶׁר־שָׁתָה אֶפְרֹחֶיהָ אֶת־מִזְבְּחוֹתֶיךָ יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת מַלְכִּי וֵאלֹהָי | Gam tzip-pór ma-tz-e-áh vá-yit; u-de-rór kén láh a-shér sha-táh e-fró-khe-ha et miz-be-kho-té-kha Ado-nái tze-va-ót; mal-kí ve-E-lo-hái. | Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at Your altars, O the LORD of hosts, my King and my God. |

| 7 | עֹבְרֵי בְּעֵמֶק הַבָּכָא מַעְיָן יְשִׁיתוּהוּ גַּם־בְּרָכוֹת יַעְטֶה מוֹרֶה | O-ve-réi be-e-mék ha-ba-khá; ma-y-an ye-shi-tú-hu; gam be-ra-khót ya-at-téh mo-réh. | As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. |
| 8 | יֵלְכוּ מֵחַיִל אֶל־חָיִל יֵרָאֶה אֶל־אֱלֹהִים בְּצִיּוֹן | Ye-le-khú me-khé-yil el khá-yil; ye-ra-eh el E-lo-hím be-Tzi-yón. | They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. |
| 9 | יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת שִׁמְעָה תְפִלָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב סֶלָה | Ado-nái E-lo-hím tze-va-ót shim-e-áh te-fi-la-tí; ha-azí-nah E-lo-héi Ya-a-kóv. Sé-lah. | O the LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah. |

| 11 | כִּי טוֹב־יוֹם בַּחֲצֵרֶיךָ מֵאָלֶף בָּחַרְתִּי הִסְתּוֹפֵף בְּבֵית אֱלֹהַי מִדּוּר בְּאָהֳלֵי־רֶשַׁע | Ki tóv yom be-kha-tze-ré-kha mi-a-lá-fim; ba-khar-tí hist-o-péf be-véit E-lo-h-ái mi-dúr be-o-ha-léi ré-sha. | For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. |
| 12 | כִּי שֶׁמֶשׁ וּמָגֵן יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים חֵן וְכָבוֹד יִתֵּן יְהוָה לֹא יִמְנַע־טוֹב לַהֹלְכִים בְּתָמִים | Ki shé-mesh u-ma-gén Ado-nái E-lo-hím; khén ve-kha-vód yi-tén Ado-nái; lo yim-ná‘ tóv la-ho-le-khím be-ta-mím. | For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. |
