| 1 | הַלְלוּיָהּ הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ | Ha-le-lu-yáh. Ho-dú la-Ado-nái ki tóv; ki le-o-lám khas-dó. | Hallelujah! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! |
| 2 | מִי יְמַלֵּל גְּבוּרוֹת יְהוָה יַשְׁמִיעַ כָּל־תְּהִלָּתוֹ | Mi ye-mal-lél ge-vu-rót Ado-nái; yash-mí-a kál te-hi-la-tó. | Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD, or declare all His praise? |
| 3 | אַשְׁרֵי שֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה בְכָל־עֵת | Ash-réi sho-me-réi mish-pát; o-séh tze-da-káh ve-khál et. | Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times! |
| 4 | זָכְרֵנִי יְהוָה בִּרְצוֹן עַמֶּךָ פָּקְדֵנִי בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ | Zakh-ré-ni Ado-nái bir-tzón am-me-kha; pok-de-ní bish-u-a-te-kha. | Remember me, O the LORD, when You show favor to Your people; help me when You save them. |
| 5 | לִרְאוֹת בְּטוֹבַת בְּחִירֶיךָ לִשְׂמֹחַ בְּשִׂמְחַת גּוֹיֶךָ לְהִתְהַלֵּל עִם־נַחֲלָתֶךָ | Lir-oót be-tov-aát be-khi-re-kha; lis-mó-akh be-sim-khaát go-ye-kha; le-hit-ha-lél im na-kha-la-te-kha. | That I may look upon the prosperity of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance. |
| 6 | חָטָאנוּ עִם־אֲבוֹתֵינוּ הֶעֱוִינוּ הִרְשָׁעְנוּ | Kha-ta-nu im a-vo-té-nu; he-e-ví-nu hir-sha-nu. | Both we and our fathers have sinned; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedness. |
| 7 | אֲבוֹתֵינוּ בְמִצְרַיִם לֹא־הִשְׂכִּילוּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ לֹא זָכְרוּ אֶת־רֹב חֲסָדֶיךָ וַיַּמְרוּ עַל־יָם בְּיַם־סוּף | A-vo-té-nu be-Mitz-ra-yím lo his-kí-lu nif-le-o-te-kha; lo za-khe-rú et róv kha-sa-de-kha; va-yam-rú al ha-yám al yam súf. | Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider Your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of Your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. |
| 8 | וַיּוֹשִׁיעֵם לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ לְהוֹדִיעַ אֶת־גְּבוּרָתוֹ | Va-yo-shi-e-m le-ma-an she-mó; le-ho-dí-a et ge-vu-ra-tó. | Yet He saved them for His names sake, that He might make known His mighty power. |
| 9 | וַיִּגְעַר בְּיַם־סוּף וַיֶּחֱרָב וַיּוֹלִיכֵם בַּתְּהֹמוֹת כַּמִּדְבָּר | Va-yig-ar be-yam súf va-ye-khé-rav; va-yo-li-khém ba-te-ho-mót ka-mid-bár. | He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry, and He led them through the deep as through a desert. |
| 10 | וַיּוֹשִׁיעֵם מִיַּד שׂוֹנֵא וַיִּגְאָלֵם מִיַּד אוֹיֵב | Va-yo-shi-e-m mi-yad so-né; va-yig-a-le-m mi-yad o-yév. | So He saved them from the hand of the foe and redeemed them from the power of the enemy. |
| 11 | וַיְכַסּוּ־מַיִם צָרֵיהֶם אֶחָד מֵהֶם לֹא נוֹתָר | Va-ye-kas-sú ma-yím tza-re-hém; e-khaád me-hém lo no-tár. | And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them was left. |
| 12 | וַיַּאֲמִינוּ בִדְבָרָיו יָשִׁירוּ תְּהִלָּתוֹ | Va-ya-a-mí-nu vi-de-va-ráv; ya-shí-ru te-hi-la-tó. | Then they believed His words; they sang His praise. |
| 13 | מִהֲרוּ שָׁכְחוּ מַעֲשָׂיו לֹא־חִכּוּ לַעֲצָתוֹ | Mi-he-rú sha-khe-khú ma-a-sáv; lo khi-k-kú la-a-tza-tó. | But they soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel. |
| 14 | וַיִּתְאַוּוּ תַאֲוָה בַּמִּדְבָּר וַיְנַסּוּ־אֵל בִּישִׁימוֹן | Va-yit-av-vú ta-a-váh ba-mid-bár; va-ye-nas-sú E-l bi-sh-i-món. | But they had a wanton craving in the wilderness, and put God to the test in the desert. |
| 15 | וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם שֶׁאֱלָתָם וַיְשַׁלַּח רָזוֹן בְּנַפְשָׁם | Va-yi-tén la-hém she-e-la-tám; va-ye-shal-lákh ra-zón be-naf-shám. | He gave them what they asked, but sent a wasting disease among them. |
| 16 | וַיְקַנְאוּ לְמֹשֶׁה בַּמַּחֲנֶה לְאַהֲרֹן קְדוֹשׁ יְהוָה | Va-ye-ka-ne-ú le-Mo-shéh ba-ma-kha-néh; le-A-ha-rón ke-dosh Ado-nái. | When men in the camp were jealous of Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the LORD. |
| 17 | תִּפְתַּח־אֶרֶץ וַתִּבְלַע דָּתָן וַתְּכַס עַל־עֲדַת אֲבִירָם | Tif-taákh e-rétz va-tiv-la‘ Da-tán; va-te-khas al a-daát A-vi-rám. | The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. |
| 18 | וַתִּבְעַר־אֵשׁ בַּעֲדָתָם לֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט רְשָׁעִים | Va-tiv-ar e-sh ba-a-da-tám; le-há-vah te-la-hét re-sha-ím. | Fire also broke out in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. |
| 19 | יַעֲשׂוּ־עֵגֶל בְּחֹרֵב וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְמַסֵּכָה | Ya-asú e-gél be-Khó-rev; va-yish-ta-kha-vú le-mas-sé-khah. | They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped a metal image. |
| 20 | וַיָּמִירוּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדָם בְּתַבְנִית שׁוֹר אֹכֵל עֵשֶׂב | Va-ya-mi-rú et ke-vo-dám be-tav-nít shór o-khél e-sév. | They exchanged the glory of God for the image of an ox that eats grass. |
| 21 | שָׁכְחוּ אֵל מוֹשִׁיעָם עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת בְּמִצְרָיִם | Sha-khe-khú E-l mo-shi-a-m; o-séh ge-do-lót be-Mitz-ra-yím. | They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt. |
| 22 | נִפְלָאוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ חָם נוֹרָאוֹת עַל־יַם־סוּף | Nif-la-ót be-e-rétz Khám; no-rá-ot al yam súf. | Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea. |
| 23 | וַיֹּאמֶר לְהַשְׁמִידָם לוּלֵי מֹשֶׁה בְחִירוֹ עָמַד בַּפֶּרֶץ לְפָנָיו לְהָשִׁיב חֲמָתוֹ מֵהַשְׁחִית | Va-yo-mér le-hash-mí-dam; lu-léi Mo-shéh be-khi-ró a-mad ba-pé-rets le-fa-náv le-ha-shív kha-ma-tó me-hash-míd. | Therefore He said He would destroy them had not Moses, His chosen one, stood in the breach before Him, to turn away His wrath from destroying them. |
| 24 | וַיִּמְאֲסוּ בְּאֶרֶץ חֶמְדָּה לֹא־הֶאֱמִינוּ לִדְבָרוֹ | Va-yim-a-sú be-e-rétz khem-dáh; lo he-e-mí-nu lid-va-ró. | Then they despised the pleasant land, having no faith in His promise. |
| 25 | וַיֵּרָגְנוּ בְאָהֳלֵיהֶם לֹא שָׁמְעוּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה | Va-yir-ra-g-nú be-o-ho-le-hém; lo sha-me-ú be-kól Ado-nái. | They murmured in their tents, and did not obey the voice of the LORD. |
| 26 | וַיִּשָּׂא יָדוֹ לָהֶם לְהַפִּיל אוֹתָם בַּמִּדְבָּר | Va-yi-sá ya-dó la-hém; le-ha-p-píl o-tám ba-mid-bár. | Therefore He raised His hand and swore to them that He would make them fall in the wilderness. |
| 27 | וּלְהַפִּיל זַרְעָם בַּגּוֹיִם וּלְזָרוֹתָם בָּאֲרָצוֹת | U-le-ha-p-píl zar-a-m ba-go-yím; u-le-za-ró-tam ba-a-ra-tzót. | And would make their offspring fall among the nations, scattering them among the lands. |
| 28 | וַיִּצָּמְדוּ לְבַעַל פְּעוֹר וַיֹּאכְלוּ זִבְחֵי מֵתִים | Va-yi-tza-me-dú le-Ba-al Pe-or; va-yo-khe-lú ziv-khéi me-tím. | Then they yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor, and ate sacrifices offered to the dead. |
| 29 | וַיַּכְעִיסוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם וַתִּפְרָץ־בָּם מַגֵּפָה | Va-yakh-aí-su-hu be-ma-al-le-lé-hem; va-tif-rótz ba-hém ma-ge-fáh. | They provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them. |
| 30 | וַיַּעֲמֹד פִּינְחָס וַיְפַלֵּל וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָה | Va-ya-amód Pi-ne-khás va-ye-fa-lél; va-te-atz-aár ha-ma-ge-fáh. | Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was stayed. |
| 31 | וַתֵּחָשֶׁב לוֹ לִצְדָקָה לְדֹר וָדֹר עַד־עוֹלָם | Va-te-kha-shév lo le-tze-da-káh; le-dor va-dór ad o-lám. | And that was counted to him as righteousness from generation to generation forever. |
| 32 | וַיַּקְצִיפוּ עַל־מֵי מְרִיבָה וַיֵּרַע לְמֹשֶׁה בַּעֲבוּרָם | Va-yak-tzifú al méi me-ri-váh; va-ye-ra‘ le-Mo-shéh ba-a-vu-rám. | They angered Him at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses on their account. |
| 33 | כִּי־הִמְרוּ אֶת־רוּחוֹ וַיְבַטֵּא בִּשְׂפָתָיו | Ki him-rú et ru-khó; va-ye-vat-té be-sif-to-táv. | For they made his spirit bitter, and he spoke rashly with his lips. |
| 34 | לֹא־הִשְׁמִידוּ אֶת־הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יְהוָה לָהֶם | Lo hish-mí-du et ha-am-mím; a-shér a-már Ado-nái la-hém. | They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them. |
| 35 | וַיִּתְעָרְבוּ בַגּוֹיִם וַיִּלְמְדוּ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם | Va-yit-a-re-vú va-go-yím; va-yil-me-dú ma-a-se-hém. | But they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. |
| 36 | וַיַּעַבְדוּ אֶת־עֲצַבֵּיהֶם וַיִּהְיוּ לָהֶם לְמוֹקֵשׁ | Va-ya-av-dú et a-tzab-be-hém; va-yih-yú la-hém le-mo-késh. | They served their idols, which became a snare to them. |
| 37 | וַיִּזְבְּחוּ אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶם לַשֵּׁדִים | Va-yiz-be-khú et be-ne-hém ve-et be-no-te-hém la-shé-dim. | They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons. |
| 38 | וַיִּשְׁפְּכוּ דָם נָקִי דַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם וּבְנוֹתֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר זִבְּחוּ לַעֲצַבֵּי כְנָעַן וַתֶּחֱנַף הָאָרֶץ בַּדָּמִים | Va-yish-pe-kú dám na-kí; dám be-ne-hém u-ve-no-te-hém a-shér zib-be-khú la-a-tzab-béi Ke-na-aán; va-te-kha-néf ha-a-rétz ba-da-mím. | They poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. |
| 39 | וַיִּטְמְאוּ בְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם וַיִּזְנוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם | Va-yit-me-ú ve-ma-a-se-hém; va-yiz-nú be-ma-al-le-lé-hem. | Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds. |
| 40 | וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ וַיְתָעֵב אֶת־נַחֲלָתוֹ | Va-yi-khaár-af Ado-nái be-am-mó; va-ye-ta-ev et na-kha-la-tó. | Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against His people, and He abhorred His heritage. |
| 41 | וַיִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד־גּוֹיִם וַיִּמְשְׁלוּ בָהֶם שֹׂנְאֵיהֶם | Va-yi-te-ném be-yad go-yím; va-yim-she-lú va-hém so-ne-hém. | He gave them into the hand of the nations, so that those who hated them ruled over them. |
| 42 | וַיִּלְחָצוּם אוֹיְבֵיהֶם וַיִּכָּנְעוּ תַּחַת יָדָם | Va-yil-kha-tzúm oy-ve-hém; va-yik-ka-ne-ú ta-khaát ya-dám. | Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their power. |
| 43 | פְּעָמִים רַבּוֹת יַצִּילֵם וְהֵמָּה יַמְרוּ בַעֲצָתָם וַיָּמֹכּוּ בַּעֲוֺנָם | Pa-a-mím ra-bót yatz-tzi-lém; ve-hé-mah yam-rú va-a-tza-tám; va-ya-mok-kú ba-a-vo-nám. | Many times He delivered them, but they were rebellious in their purposes and were brought low through their iniquity. |
| 44 | וַיַּרְא בַּצַּר לָהֶם בְּשָׁמְעוֹ אֶת־רִנָּתָם | Va-yar be-tzar la-hém; bi-she-mo-o et rin-na-tám. | Nevertheless, He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry. |
| 45 | וַיִּזְכֹּר לָהֶם בְּרִיתוֹ וַיִּנָּחֵם כְּרֹב חסדוחסדוחֲסָדָיו | Va-yiz-kór la-hém be-ri-tó; va-yi-na-khém ke-róv kha-sa-dáv. | He remembered for their sake His covenant, and relented according to the abundance of His steadfast love. |
| 46 | וַיִּתֵּן אוֹתָם לְרַחֲמִים לִפְנֵי כָּל־שׁוֹבֵיהֶם | Va-yi-tén o-tám le-ra-kha-mím; lif-néi kál sho-ve-hém. | He caused them to be pitied by all those who held them captive. |
| 47 | הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְקַבְּצֵנוּ מִן־הַגּוֹיִם לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם קָדְשֶׁךָ לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶךָ | Ho-shi-e-nú Ado-nái E-lo-hé-nu; ve-kha-betz-é-nu min ha-go-yím; le-ho-dót le-shém kod-she-kha; le-hish-ta-bé-akh bit-hil-la-te-kha. | Save us, O the LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise. |
| 48 | בָּרוּךְ־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִן־הָעוֹלָם וְעַד הָעוֹלָם וְאָמַר כָּל־הָעָם אָמֵן הַלְלוּ־יָהּ | Ba-rúkh Ado-nái E-lo-héi Yis-ra-él min ha-o-lám ve-ad ha-o-lám; ve-a-már kál ha-am a-mén; ha-le-lu-yáh. | Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Hallelujah! |
