#HebrewSephardic TransliterationEnglish
Lamah rageshú goyim uleumim yehgú rik. Why are the nations in turmoil, and why do the peoples mutter in vain?
Yityatzevú malkhéi-éretz veroznim nosedú-yakhad al-Adonai veal-meshikhó. The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against Adonai and against His anointed.
Nenatkah et-moserotéimo venashlikhah miménu avotéimo. Let us break their bonds, they say, and cast away their cords from us.
Yoshev bashamáyim yiskhak, Adonai yilag-lamo. He who sits in the heavens laughs; Adonai mocks them.
Az yedaber eléimo veapó uvakharonó yevahalémo. Then He speaks to them in His anger, and terrifies them in His wrath.
Vaaní nasákhti malkí al-Tziyón har-kodshí. But I have set My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.
Asaperah el-khok, Adonai amar elai: bení atah, aní hayom yelidtikha. I will tell of the decree: Adonai said to me, You are My son; this day have I begotten you.
Sheal mimeni veetenah goyim nakhalatekha vaakhuzatekha afsei-éretz. Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as your possession.
Teroem beshevet barzel, kikhli yotzer tenapetzem. You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Veatah melakhim haskílu, hivasrú shoftéi éretz. Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.
Ivdu et-Adonai beyirah veguilú biradah. Serve Adonai with awe, and rejoice with trembling.
Pay homage in purity, lest He be angry and you perish in the way, for His wrath is quickly kindled. Happy are all who take refuge in Him.
