La-me-nat-tsé-akh al sho-sh-an-ním liv-néi Ko-rákh maskíl shír ye-di-dót. To the Chief Musician. According to Lilies. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah. A Love Song.
My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.
You are the most handsome of the sons of men; grace is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever.
Cha-gór khar-be-khá al ya-rékh gi-bór; ho-de-khá va-ha-da-re-khá. Gird Your sword on Your thigh, O mighty one, in Your splendor and majesty!
In Your majesty ride out victoriously for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let Your right hand teach You awesome deeds!
Khits-tsé-kha sha-nú-nim; am-mím ta-kha-te-khá yi-po-lú; be-lév oy-véi ha-mé-lekh. Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; the peoples fall under You.
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.
אָהַבְתָּ צֶּדֶק וַתִּשְׂנָא רֶשַׁע עַל־כֵּן מְשָׁחֲךָ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן שָׂשׂוֹן מֵחֲבֵרֶיךָ A-háv-ta tze-dék va-tis-ná ré-sha; al kén me-sha-khá-kha E-lo-hím E-lo-hé-kha shé-men sa-són me-kha-ve-ré-kha. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beyond Your companions.
Mor va-a-há-lot ke-tzi-oót kál big-do-té-kha; mi-kha-le-kí shén mi-ni sh-im-khú-kha. Your robes are all fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From ivory palaces stringed instruments make You glad.
Ba-nót me-la-khím bi-yke-ro-té-kha; nitz-zá-vah sho-gál li-mi-ne-khá be-ké-tem O-fír. Daughters of kings are among Your ladies of honor; at Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.
שִׁמְעִי־בַת וּרְאִי וְהַטִּי אָזְנֵךְ וְשִׁכְחִי עַמֵּךְ וּבֵית אָבִיךְ Shim-í vat u-re-í ve-ha-tí-i oz-nékh; ve-shikh-khí am-mékh u-véit a-ví-kh. Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father’s house.
Ve-yit-av ha-mé-lekh yo-ye-khékh; ki hu a-do-ná-yikh ve-hish-ta-kha-ví-lo. And the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him.
U-vat Tzor be-min-kháh; pa-né-yikh ye-kha-le-lú a-shi-réi am. The people of Tyre will seek your favor with gifts, the richest of the people.
Kál ke-vu-dáh bat-mé-lekh pe-ni-máh; mi-mi-sha-be-tzot za-háv le-vu-sháh. All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold.
In many-colored robes she is led to the king, with her virgin companions following behind her.
Tu-vál-nah be-sim-khót va-gí-lah; te-vo-e-náh be-héi-khal mé-lekh. With joy and gladness they are led along as they enter the palace of the king.
Ta-khaát a-vo-té-kha yi-he-yú va-né-kha; te-shi-té-mo le-sa-rím be-khál ha-á-rets. In place of your fathers shall be your sons; you will make them princes in all the earth.
I will cause Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore nations will praise You forever and ever.
