To the Chief Musician. Al-tashcheth. A Miktam of David, when Saul sent men to watch his house in order to kill him.
Hatz-tzi-lé-ni me-oy-vái E-lo-hái; mi-mit-ko-me-mái te-sag-ge-vé-ni. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise against me.
Hatz-tzi-lé-ni mi-po-a-léi a-vén; u-me-an-shéi da-mím ho-shi-é-ni. Deliver me from those who work evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men.
For behold, they lie in wait for my life; fierce men stir up strife against me. For no transgression or sin of mine, O the LORD.
Be-li a-vón ye-ru-tzún ve-yikh-ko-ná-nu; ú-rah lik-ra-tí u-re-éh. For no fault of mine, they run and make ready. Awake, come to meet me, and see!
Sé-lah. You, LORD God of hosts, are God of Israel. Rouse Yourself to punish all the nations; spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. Selah.
Ya-shú-vu la-e-rév yé-he-mu kha-ké-lev; vi-so-ve-vú ír. Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.
Hin-néh ya-bí-un be-fí-hem; kha-ra-bót be-sif-to-té-hem; ki mi sho-mé-a. There they are, bellowing with their mouths with swords in their lips — for ‘Who will hear us?’
Ve-at-táh Ado-nái tis-khaák la-m-o; til-ag le-khál go-yím. But You, O the LORD, laugh at them; You hold all the nations in derision.
U-zo e-lé-kha esh-mó-rah; ki E-lo-hím mis-g-ab-bí. O my Strength, I will watch for You, for You, O God, are my fortress.
E-lo-héi khas-dí ye-kad-dém-ni; E-lo-hím yar-e-é-ni ve-shor-rái. My God in His steadfast love will meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.
Kill them not, lest my people forget; make them totter by Your power and bring them down, O Lord, our shield!
Kha-taát pi-mo de-var se-fa-té-mo; ve-yil-la-ke-dú bi-ge-o-nám; u-me-al-láh u-me-kha-zév ye-sap-pe-rú. For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips, let them be trapped in their pride. For the cursing and lies that they utter.
Sé-lah. Consume them in wrath; consume them, and they shall be no more; and they shall know that God rules over Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah.
Ve-ya-shú-vu la-e-rév ye-he-mú kha-ké-lev; vi-so-ve-vú ír. Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.
Hé-mah ye-nu-ú-un le-é-khol; im lo yis-be-ú va-yá-li-nu. They wander about for food and growl if they do not get their fill.
But I will sing of Your strength; I will sing aloud of Your steadfast love in the morning. For You have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.
U-ze-khí e-lé-kha a-zam-mé-rah; ki E-lo-hím mis-ga-b-bí; E-lo-héi khas-dí. O my Strength, I will sing praises to You, for You, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.
