1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־שׁוּשַׁן עֵדוּת מִכְתָּם לְדָוִד לְלַמֵּד La-me-nat-tsé-akh al shu-shán e-dút mikh-tám le-Da-víd le-lam-méd. Be-hatz-zó-to et A-rám Na-ha-rá-yim ve-et A-rám Tzo-váh; va-ya-sháv Yo-áv va-yakhák et E-dóm be-géi Mé-lakh she-néim a-sár á-lef. To the Chief Musician. According to Shushan Eduth. A Miktam of David, for instruction, when he strove with Aram-naharaim and Aram-zobah, and when Joab on his return struck down twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt.
2 בְּהַצּוֹתוֹ אֶת אֲרַם נַהֲרַיִם וְאֶת־אֲרַם צוֹבָה וַיָּשָׁב יוֹאָב וַיַּךְ אֶת־אֱדוֹם בְּגֵיא־מֶלַח שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר אָלֶף E-lo-hím ze-nakhtá-nu fa-ratz-tá-nu; a-náf-ta she-vóv lá-nu. O God, You have rejected us, broken our defenses; You have been angry; oh, restore us.
3 אֱלֹהִים זְנַחְתָּנוּ פְרַצְתָּנוּ אָנַפְתָּ תְּשׁוֹבֵב לָנוּ Hir-ash-tá e-réts pe-tzal-tá-ha; re-fáh shiv-re-há ki ma-táh. You have made the land quake; You have torn it open; repair its breaches, for it totters.
4 הִרְעַשְׁתָּה אֶרֶץ פְּצַמְתָּהּ רְפָה שְׁבָרֶיהָ כִי־מָטָה Hir-e-í-ta am-me-khá ka-sháh; hish-kí-ta-nu yé-yin ta-ar-eláh. You have made Your people see hard things; You have given us wine to drink that made us stagger.
5 הִרְאִיתָה עַמְּךָ קָשָׁה הִשְׁקִיתָנוּ יַיִן תַּרְעֵלָה Na-tá-ta li-re-é-kha nés le-hit-no-sés mi-pe-néi ko-shét. Sé-lah. You have given a banner to those who fear You, that they may flee to it from the bow. Selah.
6 נָתַתָּה לִּירֵאֶיךָ נֵּס לְהִתְנוֹסֵס מִפְּנֵי קֹשֶׁט סֶלָה Le-ma-án ye-kha-le-tzún ye-di-de-khá; ho-shi-áh ye-mi-ne-khá va-a-né-ni. That Your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by Your right hand and answer me!
7 לְמַעַן יֵחָלְצוּן יְדִידֶיךָ הוֹשִׁיעָה יְמִינְךָ ועננוועננווַעֲנֵנִי E-lo-hím di-b-bér be-kod-shó; e-a-ló-zah a-kha-le-káh She-khém; ve-é-mek Suk-kót a-ma-déd. God has spoken in His holiness: ‘With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Vale of Succoth.
8 אֱלֹהִים דִּבֶּר בְּקָדְשׁוֹ אֶעְלֹזָה אֲחַלְּקָה שְׁכֶם וְעֵמֶק סֻכּוֹת אֲמַדֵּד Lí Gil-ád ví Me-na-shéh; ve-ef-ra-ím ma-oz ro-shí; Ye-hu-dáh me-kho-ke-kí. Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is My helmet, Judah My scepter.
9 לִי גִלְעָד וְלִי מְנַשֶּׁה וְאֶפְרַיִם מָעוֹז רֹאשִׁי יְהוּדָה מְחֹקְקִי Mo-áv sir rakht-tzí; al E-dóm ash-líkh na-a-lí; a-léi Fe-lé-shet hit-ro-a-a-í. Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom I cast My shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.’
10 מוֹאָב סִיר רַחְצִי עַל־אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי עָלַי פְּלֶשֶׁת הִתְרֹעָעִי Mi yo-ví-le-ni ir miv-tzár; mi na-kha-ní ad E-dóm. Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11 מִי יֹבִלֵנִי עִיר מָצוֹר מִי נָחַנִי עַד־אֱדוֹם Ha-lo at-táh E-lo-hím ze-nakhtá-nu; ve-lo te-tzé E-lo-hím be-tziv-o-té-nu. Have You not rejected us, O God? You do not go forth, O God, with our armies.
12 הֲלֹא־אַתָּה אֱלֹהִים זְנַחְתָּנוּ וְלֹא־תֵצֵא אֱלֹהִים בְּצִבְאוֹתֵינוּ Ha-váh lá-nu ez-rát mi-tzár; ve-sháv te-shu-aát a-dám. Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!
13 הָבָה־לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָם Be-E-lo-hím na-a-séh khá-yil; ve-hu ya-vûs tza-ré-nu. With God we shall do valiantly; it is He who will tread down our foes.
14 בֵּאלֹהִים נַעֲשֶׂה־חָיִל וְהוּא יָבוּס צָרֵינוּ Be-E-lo-hím na-a-séh khá-yil; ve-hu ya-vús tza-re-nú. With God we shall do valiantly; it is He who will tread down our foes.
