E-l ne-ka-mót Ado-nái; E-l ne-ka-mót ho-fí-a. | O the LORD, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth!
Hi-na-sé sho-fét ha-á-rets; ha-shév ge-mul al ge-ím. | Rise up, O judge of the earth; repay to the proud what they deserve!
Ad ma-tái re-sha-ím Ado-nái; ad ma-tái re-sha-ím ya-a-ló-zu. | O the LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?
Yab-bí-u ye-dab-be-rú a-ták; yit-am-me-rú kál po-a-léi a-vén. | They pour out their arrogant words; all the evildoers boast.
Am-me-kha Ado-nái yed-ak-ké-u; ve-na-kha-la-te-kha ye-a-nú. | They crush Your people, O the LORD, and afflict Your heritage.
Al-ma-náh ve-gér ya-ha-ró-gu; vi-te-mo-mím ye-rat-tze-khú. | They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless.
Va-yo-me-rú lo yir-eéh Yáh; ve-lo ya-vín E-lo-héi Ya-a-kóv. | And they say, ‘The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive.’
Bí-nu bo-a-rím ba-am; u-che-si-lím ma-ta-í tas-kí-lu. | Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise?
| He who planted the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see?
| He who disciplines the nations, does He not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge —
Ado-nái yo-dé-a makh-she-vót a-dám; ki hé-mah hé-vel. | The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
| Blessed is the man whom You discipline, O LORD, and whom You teach out of Your law.
La-hash-kít lo mi-meéi ra-áh; ad yi-ka-réh la-ra-shá sha-khaát. | To give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.
Ki lo yi-tósh Ado-nái am-mó; ve-na-kha-la-tó lo ya-azóv. | For the LORD will not forsake His people; He will not abandon His heritage.
כִּי־עַד־צֶדֶק יָשׁוּב מִשְׁפָּט וְאַחֲרָיו כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵב | Ki ad tze-dék ya-shúv mish-pát; ve-a-kha-ráv kál yish-réi lév. | For justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
| Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?
| If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
Im a-már-ti ma-tah rag-lí; khas-de-kha Ado-nái yis-a-dé-ni. | When I thought, ‘My foot slips,’ Your steadfast love, O the LORD, held me up.
| When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations cheer my soul.
Ha-yekhúb-re-kha ki-sé ha-va-vót; yo-tzeár a-mál a-léi khók. | Can wicked rulers be allied with You, those who frame injustice by statute?
Ya-gó-du al ne-fésh tzad-dík; ve-dám na-kí yar-shí-u. | They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
Va-ye-hí Ado-nái lí le-mis-gáv; ve-E-lo-h-ái le-tzur makh-sí. | But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.
| He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out.
