Ado-nái lo ga-váh lib-bí; ve-lo ra-mú e-n-ái; ve-lo hi-lak-tí big-do-lót; u-ve-nif-la-ót mim-mé-ni. | A Song of Ascents. Of David. O the LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. |
| 2 | אִם־לֹא שִׁוִּיתִי וְדוֹמַמְתִּי נַפְשִׁי כְּגָמֻל עֲלֵי אִמּוֹ כַּגָּמֻל עָלַי נַפְשִׁי | Im lo shi-ví-ti ve-do-mam-tí naf-shí; ke-ga-múl a-léi im-mó; ka-ga-múl a-l-ái naf-shí. | But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. |
